Chapter 26

But where should you start?
Can you say defense?
Thinking about it, you realize you now have no monsters in the castle anymore. Which means any and all heroes will have an open and easy path straight to you.
You need fortifications, traps, something.... Anything to give you an edge on the 'heroes' when they come calling.
And they always do, eventually.
Moving over to the wardrobe, you check your crafting supplies again. You have 10 pieces of wood, 14 pieces of iron, and 5 rocks... Not a lot to work with, but if you're careful you should be able to get some kind of defense.
It takes a few trips to get everything moved to the crafting desk, but you do manage it.
This time, as you open the crafting menu, you notice additional tabs you'd missed before. There's 'Chamber Upgrades', 'Castle Upgrades', 'Golems', and 'Constructs'. While having some golems or a few constructs around would help, they all cost much more than your current resources allow.
So you decide to go another route. Selecting the one marked 'Chamber Upgrades' instead, you browse your options.
You could upgrade the doors to lock for 2 iron; add a cross beam for 2 wood, and 2 iron; or reinforce the door itself for 4 wood, and 4 iron.
You also notice a couple of other (non door) options. There's a drop cage that costs 3 rocks, and 7 iron, a swinging blade trap that costs 3 wood, and 3 iron, and a pit trap for4 wood, 4 rocks, and 3 iron.... But is greyed out.
Why would that be greyed out?
You try to select the pit to see if you can find out why you can't select it, causing a message to appear.
NO SPACE FOR ADDITION, ROOM MUST FIRST BE MADE.
Considering it for a second, you realize it must mean the floor. Because the floor is solid there's no room for the pit.... It was a good idea though, maybe you can find a way to do it sometime.
For now though, you've found several ways to slow the next heroes to come at you. But which way should you go?
Where does your remodelling start?

Game Monster
From Creep to Boss
You come into being as a low-level monster, the kind heroes chew through like popcorn. You know the drill, whether you're a player yourself or an artificial intelligence, and you're sick of it. You set out on your own quest: to defeat the heroes at any cost (or at least be an epic boss somewhere down the line).
