Jeez, grow a set of balls, you tell yourself. Ashley looks at you with passive disinterest as you struggle for something to say. She moves to put her headphones back on, shutting you out, and your mind blurts something out.

"So do you get any bullshit about being a emo skater chick?" She looks at your for a moment, puzzled, as though trying to make up her mind how to react to your question. A smile quirks the corners of her mouth for a moment as she considers her reply.
