Reggie noticed Holly's car in the driveway when he arrived home. He took his groceries into the kitchen. Holly came into the kitchen a moment later. "Reggie," she said blankly with no emotion. "Has your mom and step-sister been acting strange today?"

"They're idiots," said Reggie. He got a pot and put it on the stove. Holly opened the cans of foul smelling dog food, and Reggie dumped them into the pot. "Go get them and tell them it's time for lunch," said Reggie.
