Giving you a spiteful, lust-filled glance, Lukanis leans forwards to say something to Salim in a quiet voice, just low enough that you can't hear.
Salim pauses for a moment as if considering it, then smiles. "Sir Lukanus has informed me that you've been less than cordial to him in the past. A young lady such as yourself really shouldn't be disrespecting the Chief of the Royal Mint like that, so I'll have to ask you to apologize to him."
You tense up at the statement, recalling the disgusting looks the fat pig had given you in the past. It's only natural that you'd been as brusque as possible whenever dealing with him.
Even so, you know better than to disobey Salim...just the thought of more punishment sends chills of fear down your spine.
Turning towards Lukanis, you cursty with all the elegance you can muster and **** out the most agreeable-sounding tone you can manage. "I'm very sorry for my disrespect, sir."
That should be enough, right? But Lukanus' lust-filled expression doesn't change, and you hear Salim click his tongue in disapproval. "Words are cheap, Mia. You'll have to use your mouth a little more sincerely if you want Sir Lukanus to forgive you."
Realizing his intent, and knowing there's no way out, you approach the fat pig and kneel in front of him, grimacing in distaste at the gleeful light in his eyes.
