Improve the defenses

Still unsatisfied with the security of your new home, you decide to focus your efforts on improving your wall. Venturing just outside camp, you use your short sword to hack down several dozen large branches, then strip them of their twigs and leaves with your survival knife, finishing each of them off with a sharpened point. You are able to strip off the fibrous bark of another type of tree in the area to fashion crude ropes which you use to lash the branches together to fashion a gate that one could only easily move from inside of the camp. At least nothing can just waltz into your camp now, but you are still left with an uneasy feeling of vulnerability.
