Sunday at the comic con: Meeting "Holly Appleseed"

It's 9:00am on a Sunday morning when you wake up from your post-sexual slumber, and you spend the first hour cleaning up yourself & the suite (somewhat). The next hour is spent getting some breakfast down in the lobby, after you had gathered your gear, and the one thing you've put off on until today--a reusable bag to hold some new purchases. Cosplayer "Holly Appleseed" was right on one thing about the final comic con day--do your work first, then finish with some shopping. With breakfast done, you make sure you have everything you need, then make the walk down to the convention center.

Like always, you take photos of all the cosplayers you can get to along the way, giving them your business card afterwards. Although there are no panels for you to go to on the final day of the comic con, you do stop at certain vendors every now and then, picking & purchasing some various comic books, figures, and the handful of geeky tees--including a _Star Wars_themed Rebel Alliance button-up tee, and hoodie. You also pick a few things to give to Shannon, when you return to the photography studio.

So now it's Noon, and you know it won't be long before some of the professional cosplayers slip out of their costumes, to be their normal self, and do some shopping of their own. So you grab your smartphone, to see if any of them are available at the time. Appropriately enough, the first one that asks for your whereabouts, is "Holly Appleseed". Soon enough, you find her in the walkway that hangs over a busy L.A. street, and connects the two halves of the L.A. Convention Center together. As she mentioned the previous Friday (See thread 191460), she's in her Stargirl cosplay. The costume is consistent with the latest comic depiction of the given character, with a two-piece suit that is a mix of spandex & leather. Much like she did with her "Burnside Batgirl" cosplay that night, she's glued or stapled on a blonde wig over the matching mask. Her red-colored boots are flat-soled, and goes up to her knees. Completing her cosplay, is a convention-approved sickle staff prop, that she personally made from natural wood & worbla, and can be disassembled into pieces, for easier travel. You can see her belly piercing in between the two halves of her costume.

"How's your day, Alex?" Holly asks you, after giving you a hug.

"My day is going well, Holly." You tell her. "Finally got around to doing some personal shopping of my own in between the photo shoots, and I'm sure you're eager to do some shopping yourself."

"You're exactly correct, Alex." She tells you. "My crew is already busy scouting the booths for items that I want to buy, so I know where to go, when I'm ready to shop."

"Well, then," you tell her, "shall we get this done, so you can be your normal self, and go shopping?"

"I couldn't agree more!" She tells you.

You work through the various photo sets with Holly, as she does her line of superheroine poses. One time, she's putting her hands on her hips, with her legs spread out; the other time, with your direction, she grabs the staff, and does a pose like she's activating a staff's power. To finish it off, you have her lean forward, holding her staff in one hand, and "blowing a kiss to her fans" with her free hand. After that, you share the photos with her, which she scrutinizes carefully.

"OMG, they're excellent, Alex!" She tells you. "I like how you worked the camera angle to get the best out of the comfortable poses I was giving you."

"How about the last one?" You ask her.

"Definitely a good way to say 'Thank you!'," Holly responds, and then kisses your cheek, "which I'm doing right now."

"Excellent." You tell her. "I will share the ones that don't need retouching or enhancements, as soon as I can, Holly."

"I know you will, Alex." She tells you, as she carefully removes the mask & wig, and lets her brown hair go free. "I look forward to sharing your work with the fans."

With that, she gives you a big hug, and then you exchange well wishes, and safe travels home with her. So as she runs off to find a bathroom, and shed her costume, to be her normal self, you check your smartphone again, to see who's available now.
