Chapter 10 by Cantalope Cantalope

What does she do?

Get a move on.

After what she deemed an unhealthy amount of time appreciating her own chest, the low howl of a wolf brought her back to reality. Slapping herself across the face and giving herself a stern talking to, Lara pushes herself to her feet. "Alright... priorities Lara. Food? Water?" despite not eating for the last day and a half, she felt surprisingly satiated. Moving cautiously through the dark woods she could feel a sloshing warmth in her seemingly full stomach. Frowning and trying not to remember the odd statue dream, Lara continued down the list, "Ok... crew. I have to find the rest of the crew. Oh god, I hope Sam's alright..."

Taking advantage of a clear sky and the shining moon, Lara quickened her pace till she was almost running, putting thoughts of her new assets out of her mind. Or trying to. The increased mass threw off her center of gravity and made her involuntarily slouch, not to mention the painful rubbing and bouncing of her breasts themselves. After a minute of mulishly pushing herself faster, she resentfully stopped when she almost ran face-first into an ancient wall. The "almost" was because she actually ran chest-first into the obstacle, bouncing onto her back with the wind knocked out of her despite her new cushioning. A minute or two later, gritting her teeth on a long string of obscenities targeted at her throbbing chest, she pushed herself to her feet and took a closer look at the wall.

Even in the shadows of the forest Lara could tell this ruin was much newer than her last "discovery", likely from the kingdom of Yamatai and not the ancients who built the fertility statues. Breathing a heavy sigh of relief, she followed the wall with an outstretched hand, searching for an opening or a place to climb over. But as the anger and annoyance drained out of her, she felt fear and worry creeping in to replace them. What was that sound? Is that a- no that's a log. I'm being too loud, something will hear me! She hadn't been scared of the dark since she was five but suddenly the forest seemed full of monsters that hadn't troubled her for over a decade. The low howl of a wolf momentarily stopped her heart, which made up for lost time by restarting with a drum roll in her chest. Her motions were jerky, her steps quick and clumsy in the jungle brush. She jumped at every snapping twig and noise in the undergrowth, "G-get a grip Lara, C'mon. It's j-just a wolf, probably far, far away..." Even her normally confident voice sounded breathless with panic. She continued around the ruin, scraping her hands on ancient stone and bruising her legs on hidden rubble, till she finally found the end of the wall.

She almost pitched forward in the sudden emptiness as her hand left the stone. Peering through the dappled forest she could only make out trees continuing on out of sight... Were those... eyes? She froze, eyes fixed on the twin pinpricks of light shining out of the darkness barely a dozen meters away. She screamed at herself to turn and run but her muscles didn't seem to be listening. The eyes blinked. That was all it took: Lara was off through the woods again. Slapping aside the grasping branches of the forest as she bolted away from the eyes. Wait, is that? Yes! A faint orange glow ebbs through the trees, standing in stark contrast to the watery moonlight. Gasping in relief Lara leapt towards the light, not for a moment considering who might be waiting for her just **** to escape the paralyzing fear.

Who does she find?
