What is it?
The hunter and a priestess
Lifting up a disintegrating plank you reveal two bodies, just barely alive. Geeze, you leveled up six times without killing them all? Their levels must be in the double digits at least. Damn XP farmers. They'd probably cleared this area before too. Examining them closer you recognize the hunter who'd been about to shoot you and what looks like a priestess of Amari, goddess of purity. Not so smug now hm...? The hunter coughs and looks at you through eyes burning with anger. He reaches for his knife and you drop the board back on him. A weak flash and a few defeated piano notes signal his return to town as you feel a rush of XP, a slight stretching sensation, and a little Ding Lvl. 11. Wow, you were rockin this plan of yours! You didn't think you'd actually make it this far.
You're about to finish off the priestess too but pause, struck by her beauty. How the crap did someone become a priestess with a rack like-Oh right, game logic. You feel torn between getting a lot of very useful XP and saving the very attractive maiden, who appears to have been knocked **** from your trap. You'd better decide soon though, she'd starting to stir and you get the feeling you don't want to deal with an angry priestess who was presumably still full-up on mana...
Take the XP or (foolishly) let the girl live?
You come into being as a low-level monster, the kind heroes chew through like popcorn. You know the drill, whether you're a player yourself or an artificial intelligence, and you're sick of it. You set out on your own quest: to defeat the heroes at any cost (or at least be an epic boss somewhere down the line).
