The alien looks at you, thinking for a moment before speaking,

"The names my people use would not be able to be pronounced by your species, the only possible portion of my name that
you would be able to pronounce would be the last syllable.. You may call me Dak."

You nod your head at him before speaking.

"My name is Victor, and judging by that thing that was around your neck, I assume someone is looking for you.. Is there
anything I can do to help?"
