Jenna tricks Rachel into touching the Idol

The two girls walked into the classroom and sat down.

"I've been very lonely for a long time," Jenna said -- best to open with a truth. "I hoped having a girlfriend would fill that hole in my heart, and when it became clear that that wouldn't happen I turned to mysticism." She took the Idol out of her bag and placed it on the desk in front of Rachel. "But it's a trap." Another truth.

"Only Jesus can fill the hole in your heart," Rachel told her. "Not these false gods." She looked at the Idol with distaste. "You need to get rid of that... thing."

"I know that... now," Rachel agreed, letting her shoulders slump. "But it's so hard on my own. I need help from someone who's already strong in Christ." It never hurt to stroke someone's ego. "Would you get rid of the Idol for me?" She held the idol out to Rachel.
