A Case Full Of Needles

On the outside the backpack is covered in frills and sparkles and Hello Kitty. It's pretty much more girly then a bedazzled pony. And bedazzled ponies are pretty seriously girly. You expect to see pink notebooks and pink pens with fluffy pink feathers at the end when you open it up.

Instead of the fluffy unicorn explosion that you expected, you instead find what looks like a plain utilitarian backpack. That's fine. Perhaps you'd just gotten a biased view from all of this build up. At the end of the day a normal backpack just makes sense. But, you can't shake a nagging sense of ominousness, that might be influenced by all of the alternate universes where you find ball gags and neo nazi paraphernalia and diapers. Well you don't know about that, but it still makes all of these normal three ring binders seem rather foreboding.

All of that sense of unease explodes, when you find a rather large felt cast in the back of the backpack. It seems like nothing at first, but when you open it up, you find that it's filled with needles....
