Maxine gets a break
Maxine Singh stretched her legs out and pulled a blanket over them. She always got cold when she was tired. She could take a nap of course, but then she’d have to wake up again and wouldn’t be able to sleep when she got home. Nah, she had to stay awake for a little longer.
Luckily, she had something to watch while waiting for her ride. With her cup of tea, wrapped in her warm blanket, she watched her bff’s grind on sweet Arthur.
She loved those bitches. How long had she known them? Must’ve been close to 35 years now. They’d shared everything, birthdays, bedrooms and boyfriends. Like most people, Maxine’s first sexual experiences were with her friends. Janey, always the adventurer, was a little different. She’d had some encounters before sharing her experience with Sam and Maxine at a sleepover before they each went their own paths after high school. It had bonded them for life. Maxine had always been a bit more shy, taking a long time to warm up to people, so to speak. Most parts of her life, she’d been the perfect example of a wallflower. She preferred it that way, observing, enjoying life from her—admittedly small—comfort zone.
In fact, she enjoyed herself much more watching her friends bang, than joining in. Now too, she rubbed her thighs together, forcing herself not to slip her fingers under the blanket yet. That made the release so much sweeter.
Fuck, they were doing him good. Janey was so aggressive with him, he could probably hardly breathe. Maxine couldn’t even see his head anymore under Janey’s wonderfully round ass.
She shifted her gaze to Sam. Maxine always felt a little envious at the calm, sensual confidence she showed while riding a man. It was always as if she knew she had exactly the right moves for exactly the right dick.
Her tea was starting to get cold, but she didn’t notice. Her fingers had found their way down between her legs, and judging by how wet she already was, she was going to come a lot that night.

“So, you don’t get pregnant from sex?”
Maxine swallowed a sigh. “Well you do, but not always.”
“Miss Singh, I don’t get it anymore,” Trish exclaimed. “I thought you just had to get unlucky to get a kid.”
“Depends on how you see it,” Maxine responded. “Okay, let’s go back a few steps. Remember when we talked about hormones? So, to get a sperm cell to fertilize an egg cell, they need to get the matching hormone.”
“So you just have to have bad luck with your hormones?”
“No, those specific hormones are made when there’s a certain level of intimacy and passion, combined with a certain commitment to make things line up.”
“So, do you have to get some sort of test to see if you match?”
“No, but some people do, to see how compatible they are at a certain moment. Frankly, most parents have had a relationship for so long, they start matching eventually.”
“So, you can get pregnant when it’s true love?”
“You could put it like that.”
“Awh!” Emily exclaimed. “That’s so sweet. Mom always told it like that, but I didn’t realize it was literal.”
“It is.” Maxine confirmed. “Now, turn to page 35, and we’ll discuss the process in detail.”
If you would have told Maxine 35 years ago she’d become a biology teacher, she’d think you fell on your head as a baby. The attention and constant social contact would have scared her shitless. Now it made sense to her. Biology was the art of observation, as was teaching. Most of the time she was merely sharing what she saw, and it made sense to her students.
“Thanks Miss Singh,” Emily said after class ended “I’m glad to know my parents love each other.”
Well, at least they did when they conceived you, Maxine thought. She was pretty sure Emily’s parents were more interested in their jobs than each other now. At least, that’s the feeling she got at the last parent-teacher meeting when both of them were working almost non-stop on their phones.
She sighed. It was her last class, and standing alone in the empty classroom, she was reminded too much of her empty apartment. Involuntarily, Gordon’s face appeared in her mind’s eye. She still missed him every day. Cancer’s a bitch.
“Miss Singh?”
She didn’t recognize the voice at first.
“Billy,” she gasped. “Is that you?”
The young man smiled.
“Yup,” he said. “But it’s Mr. Stevens now.”
Again she gasped. “Really? I saw the name, never put two and two together. Guess I need to congratulate you.”
“Thanks,” he grinned. “I wanted to see you first, because eh— you inspired me to study biology.”
Maxine felt goosbumps over her arms. She didn’t know why the moment touched her to this degree. Maybe she really needed the cheering up.
“Oh, my dear boy,” she said, choked up. “Come here.”
He walked into her arms, and accepted her embrace. She felt him hardening against her.
“Oh, is that for me?” She whispered.
“I can’t tell you how often I thought of you, Miss Singh.”
“Please, Bill,” she responded. “It’s Maxine to friends.”
She even felt butterflies as he lifted her onto her desk, eagerly dropped his pants and pushed himself into her.
“I’m going to enjoy working with you,” she said, before getting lost in her own moans.
