Talking with Keisha
"...and so the changes were made pretty quickly as a result..."
You stood there for a moment as Keisha trailed off with her explanation, leaving the two of you stunned and silent for a few moments. Julius and D'Marcus were busy doing god knows what so you had some time to process what she had told you, indeed what she had even begun to describe, would've been outlandish a month ago. "You're saying..."
"Yeah, I went through that same procedure that you just went though, my brain was transplanted into Keisha's body about 4 years ago and I've been living as her ever since." She sighed and you had a hard time reconciling what Fiona, your bookish nerd of a sister, and now this busty lithe ebony young woman who you had taught for 2 years. "It was weird seeing you teaching and interacting with me and god, I so wanted to tell you..." she whispered, dabbing her eyes as tears beaded. "If it weren't for that damn NDA they had us sign...I know you hurt when you had to bury all of us, I was watching the funeral..."
That had perhaps been the hardest day as you had to bury all four of your family members at once: your parents, older sister and Fiona. Pam likewise stated that she never saw you so devastated before, the look of a man completely torn apart and walking through the steps haunted every single waking moment. "I never thought I'd see you that distraught before, Steve...I never want to again..."
You gave her a hug and held her until she sniffled and calmed down. "Me neither, Fi..."
She smiled and nestled her head against your chest. "Fi...I haven't been called that in forever." You were about to let go and she shook her head. "Can we stand like this for a bit?"
"Sure..." After a few moments, she nodded slowly and you stepped back. "You okay?"
"Yeah..." she brushed her hair a bit and then looked at you. "Are you?"
"Not sure...what happened to Sandra, mom and dad? Did they also get transplanted?"
"Mom was too far gone, she was not able to be saved. Sandra, she was transplanted into a teen male who was in a car next to us. She goes by Dustin Haynes, plays on your basketball team, BTW..." You had to picture that, your prim and proper older sister was not only a younger male but had been living as one for the past 4 years. "Dad...well..."
You looked at her as she dug out her phone and after scrolling through her pics, pulled up a picture and showed it to you.

"That's Dad?"
"Yeah...he's been living as Georgia Morrison these past few years. She's actually into you, a lot..."

The Ultimate Transplant
Someone you know is given a new body & life
PLEASE ADD CHAPTERS! A close friend or family member is horribly injured in an accident. As they lay dying in the emergency room, another patient dies of a brain aneurysm. Both of them are organ donors, so a surgeon decides it's the perfect opportunity for him to try an experimental surgery. He transplants the victim's higher brain (the cerebellum) to the donor's body in an attempt to 'save' a life. Amazingly it works. But the surgery was not approved so the hospital convinces the families to keep quiet, arguing that revealing this operation to the public would bring never-ending media attention to all involved. That means that the patient will have to publicly assume the identity of the donor. What will this mean to your friends and family? Who else will you tell? Although you will spend a lot of time and effort giving support, how will all this alter your relationship to the patient? And how will he or she adapt to a complete change of body and identity? Many transformation stories focus on the change or victim, so I thought it would be interesting to instead have the POV be someone who sees the change from the outside. Writers feel free to explore a change in age, gender, class or ethnicity - and the repercussions that change would have on the main character (and others).
