She has to wear a costume

“What do you mean I gotta wear a costume?!”, Eve practically screamed.

“I mean you have to wear a costume just for one night. A member from the office of hero and police relations is going to visit Verstopolas in a few days. In order to pass their evaluation we have to prove that we’re working together. If we pass Verstopolas will be recognized by the union and have access to all their resources.”

“Can’t I just show up and say hey I’m working with the cops.”, Eve protested. While she was aware that wearing clothes for a day might not be that big of a deal to most. To Diana being naked was her identity. Lady Eve was her chance to be who she truly was, flying through the sky, fighting crime all while butt naked gave her a sense of completion. Having to wear a costume now would feel like she was denying herself.

“Unfortunately that won’t work. In order to pass the police have to prove that we have you under control. This means having you do something you would never do on your own. Given your reputation we figured this would be our best shot.”

“No way! There is no way I’m ever wearing a ...”

“PLEASE!”, the commissioner screamed, “This city is my home. Year after year I’ve been **** to watch as crime runs rampant through the streets. You’re the cities first legitimate ray of hope the peace and quiet tonight is proof of that. But you alone won’t be enough. I want to save this city too so please, please just wear something.”

Eve looked at the man before him. It was clear that he wasn’t someone trying to shame her or make her conform. Instead this was a man desperately trying to save the city he loved.

“I’ll think about it.”, Eve said with a deep sigh. She quickly flew into the air leaving the commissioner alone on the roof.

As the commissioner stared at the naked woman flying higher and higher into the sky. All he could do was pray that his words got through.
