A dangerous situation

The radios of the cops were filled with chatter:

“We need backup, pronto!”

“Multiple fires and damage to building someone call FD!”

“Screw that! Just evacuate the citizens!!”

Coleson and Trevor were trying to access the situation but the rumbling ground was making them realize what it might be. It felt like whatever was doing it was getting closer when suddenly it stopped. The two cops looked around as Diana shrieks, “Above you!”

They look up and see a giant monster peering into the alleyway.

“What the fuck is that?!” Trevor asked as he reached into for his firearm and started shooting.

“Stop! It’s not gonna work, Trevor,” Coleson tried to scream out. The monster was infuriated as he smacked the building with his tail. Rubble fell on the three of them as Trevor and Coleson protected Diana. Big pieces of concrete smashed into the two police officers as both coughed up blood.

“Why did you save me?” Diana asked as she tried to help them.

“We serve and protect, ma’am. Just get out of here before you get attacked,” Coleson said as he struggled to breathe. Diana looked back once before running as fast as she could back through the park in record speed as the blanket fell to the ground.

“It really is Asse…” is all Coleson could say before the monster smashed both of them with his foot. Diana was sobbing as she ran through the park and through the wreckage of the city. She had no idea what was even going on, why she had these powers and why there were monsters all of sudden. She didn’t see where she was going and she ran into another monster. It quickly turned around and roared at her. She tried to get away but it swung its tail and launched her into a nearby building. As she floated through the air her mind raced with thoughts:

“I can’t believe this is how I die…”

“I can’t even remember who I am…”

“Why is this happening to me?”

She crashed through various buildings and sat in the rubble expecting everything to be broken. She moved her fingers around and felt perfectly fine. Then she moved around her toes…no pain…She stood up and dusted her naked skin off, which she wasn’t even scratched. The fog was starting to clear of who she was and she was starting to remember everything that had happened a few days prior.
