Chapter 10 by AddickTara
Do you push into the caravan?
Yes
You push past into the caravan, the first thing you notice was that the trailer was a mess. There is trash everywhere. Dirty clothes on the floor, empty pizza boxes, and beer cans.
“Tyrone, what the hell happened here?”
“I don’t know, Brenda.”
You hear a noise and turn around to see a woman walking out of one of the bedrooms. She is old and wrinkly, and she is walking with a cane.
“Who are you?” You asked.
“I’m his grandma, and who might you be?” the old woman asked.
“My name is Brenda,” you reply
“What are you doing in my house?”
“I’m just checking up on Tyrone,” you reply defensively
“Checking up on Tyrone? Why?”
“Well, I was giving him a ride home, and I know he hasn’t been going to school, and he lives with you, so I thought I would check up on him.”
Well he's just fine the woman stubbornly replied
“Tyrone, get me a chair would you?”
“Of course, Grandma,” he said, pulling out a chair for her. She slowly lowered herself down into it, using her walking stick for support.
“Thank you, Tyrone,” she said gratefully. “
You could tell Tyrone was clearly doing a lot for this woman and wondered if there was anything you do to help.
Do you offer any help?
Life of the Divorcee
It begins
After many years of marriage, Brenda Barker never imagined she’d be starting over. But when her husband ditches her after she's caught cheating at the local health spa Brenda is left with a modest house, an overgrown garden, and a long-overdue reckoning with who she really is. What begins as a shaky stumble into singlehood—burnt dinners, awkward solo brunches, and tearful nights with wine and reruns—soon becomes a bold exploration of self. With the unexpected help of her two teenage sons, and new neighbours, Brenda rediscovers not just joy, but a version of herself she hadn’t seen in decades.
