Chapter 13 by JoshCircum JoshCircum

Which girl does she go for first

Dodie Clark

Josh's mind drifted to Dodie, the musician he had been following online for a while. Her smaller physique and striking features had caught his eye immediately, but she had always seemed to be moving around the world, never in one place long enough to pin her down0.

Today, however, fate seemed to be smiling upon him. Josh remembered seeing Dodie's schedule posted on social media - she was due to catch a train to attend a goat yoga session held in Josh's city. Perfect timing.

Donning his most charming smile and a crisp button-down shirt, Josh made his way to the bustling train station, having done some research on the best times to catch Dodie after her yoga session. He positioned himself near the exit, casually leaning against a pillar as he waited for her to emerge.

After about twenty minutes, the doors slid open and a familiar figure stepped out - Dodie, her hair slightly damp with sweat and her cheeks flushed from the workout. She was deep in conversation with another woman, likely a fellow yogi, and didn't seem to notice Josh at first.

Seizing his opportunity, Josh approached the two women, a friendly smile plastered on his face. "Excuse me, Dodie? I hope I'm not interrupting anything important."

Dodie turned to face Josh, her brow furrowing sightly. "Oh, hello. Are you a fan?"

Josh smiled warmly, holding up his phone. "Actually, yes I am a big fan of yours. I was hoping I might be able to share something with you, if you have a moment."

He tapped play on a pre-made playlist, the opening notes of a soft, ambient melody filling the air between them. "I recently composed a few tracks inspired by your music. I thought maybe you could take a listen sometime, get a fresh perspective. What do you think?"

Dodie hesitated for a moment, glancing at her friend uncertainly. However, the polite request and the intriguing offer proved too tempting to resist. "Alright, sure. I suppose I have a few minutes," she agreed, her curiosity piqued.

Her friend excused herself, leaving Dodie alone with Josh. He handed her his phone, the ambient music still playing softly. "Just pop in your earbuds and hit play whenever you're ready. No pressure though!" Josh assured her with a charming grin.

As Dodie took the phone, her fingers brushed against his, sending a slight tingle through her skin. She shrugged it off as static electricity, plugging in her earbuds and hitting play on the mysterious tracks.

The music began to play, starting innocuously enough - a soft, repetitive beat accompanied by ethereal synth pads. But as the seconds ticked by, subtle changes crept in. The tempo slowed almost imperceptibly, the frequencies shifting to resonate with natural brainwaves.

Underneath the pleasant melodies, subliminal messages began to weave themselves into the fabric of the song. Soft whispers, barely audible, repeated phrases designed to plant suggestions deep in the subconscious mind. "Relax..." "Feel good..." "Obey..."

As the track progressed, the volume of the subliminal elements grew, gradually overtaking the surface-level music. Dodie's eyelids began to droop, her body swaying slightly to the insistent rhythm.

Josh watched intently as Dodie listened to the specially crafted audio track, her reactions exactly as he had hoped. Her eyes glazed over, pupils dilating as the hypnotic frequencies did their work, lowering her mental defenses.

Josh watched on, trying to hide his pride at the scene unfolding before him. "How are you feeling, Dodie?" Josh asked, his tone dripping with false concern. "Are you enjoying the music? Do you want to hear more of what I have to show you?"

Dodie blinked slowly, her gaze unfocused as she struggled to process Josh's words through the haze of the hypnotic audio. "Y-yes," she mumbled, her voice distant and dreamy. "More..."

She handed the phone back to Josh, her movements sluggish and uncoordinated. "What else do you want to show me?" Dodie asked, her usual sharp wit dulled by the powerful subliminal programming.

Josh glanced over at Dodie's friend, realizing he hadn't accounted for her presence. A sly smile crossed his face as he formulated a plan. "What's up with her?" she asked, placing a protective hand on Dodie's shoulder.

What does he do?
