Chapter 14 SVR - 4 Escort.

"As the SV-4 is about to leave the shipyards. they are hailed by the Fifth and third fleets."

"Normandy this is Admiral Hatchett of the Fifth Fleet. We're hear to see that you make it out of space dock in one piece. In fact I am sending the Third Fleet with you as escorts. They will cover you on your mission where ever that might take you. I am to also say that we are Deeply sorry about what's happen to Major Shepard."

Liara - Thank you Sir. We'd welcome the support. From what I have heard about the Turians, Quarian's and the Geth well need all the support. I'm not sure what we will find out there. But well try and send communications back to earth when we can.

Hatchett - Liara I thank you for what your doing. But as the new XO of the ship your duty is to get use what ever technology is out the and intergrade it with the Normandy on sight no matter..

Liara - Sir are you tell me that the Normandy is to do this upgrade on its own on sight in space. With the Third fleet only as are escort Sir.

Hatchett - Yes that is what I'm saying. Earth and are space dock people say it might be to dangerous to try to upgrade the Normandy back here. So while your doin g the upgrades out there. The third fleet has said it would support you no matter what happens.

Liara - Understood Sir. But i feel more better Sir if i had two more support fleets and at least some Dreadnaught support Sir. I know you probably are not able to give use this. But if you can try and get use at least two Dreadnaughts as support I would be greatful.

Hatchett - I understand what your asking me to do. But i can't give you any promise on this. Hold one.

Earth Defense Council - SV-4 Normandy We heard all you asked for and understand. So just for you were willing to grant your request on the two support fleets and two dreadnaughts as well. Use everything wise XO. Council out

Liara - Hatchett sir, what just happened. Shepard told me that the council never greats request so fast no matter what it is.

Hatchett - I think they understand that you are a little overwhelmed and that sense Shepard is your husband and your his wife. I don't know.

I think they feel sorry that one of there one officers betray them on the ship and Shepard wasn't involved. But was the victim of this all. So sense they are not a custom to Asari in command of Human ships they're going to support you.

Liara - Wow thanks i guess. Oh by the way sir I thought you should know that Shepard's condition is a lot better then three days ago.

Hatchett - Liara that's great to here. But as soon as he wakes up your to have him contact me right away on a secure channel understand.

Liara - Sir may I ask why you want him to do this?

Hatchett - That's Classified and need to know only. I'm sorry I know you should have the right to know what's so important. I agree with you Liara about this and I plan on changing the rules for you only.

Liara - Sir I know that this is probably a bad time to ask you something or anything but I need to have Shepard not going out on any more missions with out me please understand this

Hatchett - Liara I completely understand what you are asking me and I was wondering when I could tell you that he won't. but the Fleets are ready and waiting for him in the hidden system. I'm letting you know that three fleets have been put under Shepard command for good now. Plus the fleets mostly consist of heavy destroyers, cruisers, heavy frigates, two Large carriers and 18 very heavily armored dreadnoughts as well as 200 fighters. As he requested.

Liara - I didn't know he had asked for all that and more including me as second in command. I mean I'm happy my husband asked for me. but I should know why.

Hatchett - Liara you was ask because of what happened last time. I take it you are the reason he was able to make it out a live and keep living. I'm a where of your two daughters you and him have and I felt being closer to each other was the wiser and safer choice. I do apologise for the late reply as I have been in meetings all day.
