Eventually

As you can imagine, Emma is very popular with the men at the party, and as she wades through them in her little brown shirt and tight black skirt, you wonder if you'll ever get to talk to her.

But when you see her alone at the bar, you go over and see if she is willing to talk to you.

You are denied at first, Emma having grown weary of random guys hitting on her and trying to get her in bed with them, but after a few minutes of ignoring you sitting right next to her, she gives in and starts up a conversation with you.

"I assume you know who I am, but it was still wrong of me to ignore you," she stammers, apologizing profusely to you as you try not to stare at her too long.

"It's okay Emma, I understand," you say to her as you offer to buy her a drink in a friendly way, "and by the way, the name's John."

"Well John, you are a charming bloke," she tells you as she smiles at you, "so of course you can buy me a drink."
