It's a very simple day. Krillin, 18's husband, has the day off, so she took the opportunity to do some shopping while krillin watches her daughter. It's going smoothly, but as she's in the checkout line a sleazy looking man approaches her and shoots his shot. 18 doesn't even say anything, just looks at him and flashes her wedding ring, before walking off. Lazuli isn't the slightest bit nervous, anyone who would be stupid enough to try anything on her would be a dead man, except krillin of course.

18 makes it to her car no issue, but as she goes to enter the man from before pounces on her and places something over her mouth. She quickly throws him off her and onto the ground, but it was too late. She had inhaled a strong anesthetic gas, and quickly passed out.
