Chapter 10 by Suvinceus Suvinceus

A few days later...

The Return of Ajax

July 24, 1979

At the garage in Slattery's estate, Carabello was working on the appearance of his prized motorbike, making sure it would look snazzy for the rest of the Crescent Moons to take a gander at. He grinned as he finished up, and stood back to marvel at his work.

Carabello was a former auto mechanic that actually took a liking to hijacking vehicles, and at the same time Angela joined the Crescent Moons, he was convinced by Jake and Hoagie to hijack a car containing stolen goods. When he successfully (although it took a few tries) hijacked the car, and brought the goods with him, he was given his chance to become a Crescent Moon himself.

Since then, Carabello became friends with the two light-haired men, and the trio always catered to flirting with the opposite sex, and although Hoagie hooked up with Berlin, while Jake found his match in random blonde, buxom women (currently, he is in a relationship with Tracey, who happened to fit his criteria), the carefree Crescent Moon enjoyed company with women his age, and took an interest in Angela...even if she wasn't interested in him.

Suddenly, the back door leading to the garage opened and out came Lisa, who told him, "Hey, Carabello. My father wants to speak with you; I think it might be important."

Carabello took notice and grinned and he replied, "Sure enough. Thanks, Lees."

He then exited the garage and went to find Slattery, who was in the playroom engaging in billiards with Hoagie. "Yo, Slattery! You need anything?" he asked.

"Ah, Carabello. Good to see you; I got some word from the Warriors that they need you at Coney Island." the Crescent Moons leader replied.

"Really? I'll be on it, thanks!" Carabello said, before he exited the estate and got on his motorbike. A few more Crescent Moons would follow his lead, although they had to walk their way to their destination.

He then revved it up, and he began making his way to Coney, where the Warriors needed their assistance.

"You sure he's good enough?" Snow asked Swan.

"Yeah, and he does need our help." the Warriors leader replied. "We got a big favor to ask of him, and since he's the 'wheels' of the Crescent Moons, I think he's got some potential to pull it off."

Carabello then made his way to the Warriors's turf, where he parked it near their base. The other Crescent Moons also caught up with him, and they began entering the building.

Knocking on the door, Carabello said, "Hey, it's me!"

The Warriors took notice and Cochise answered it, and grinned as he said, "Well, well, look's who here! Pretty snazzy-looking for someone who serves as the Crescent Moons's main hijacker."

Carabello smiled back as he high-fived the Harlem-raised Warrior, and then made his way to Swan and Snow. "So...what is it you guys need from me?" he asked curiously.

"There's a police van that's got some arrested gang members, and they're escorting them to the big house. One of them's been arrested recently, and I'm sure you can guess who he is." Swan replied.

The man he was referring to was Ajax, who was arrested during the return home to Coney after the Cyrus incident. He attempted to have sex with a female undercover officer, and was taken in by the police.

"I want you to hijack the van as quickly as you can before they arrive at their destination. Those guys need all the help they can get, and we're not talking about the cops." Swan added.

"No problem! I'm on it! Come on, guys, let's get this party started!" Carabello told the other Crescent Moons with a grin, before they exited the building.

As the rest of the Crescent Moons followed his lead, although by foot, Carabello was on his motorbike, investigating the whereabouts of the police van. A few hours had passed, and although it seemed his search was fruitless, he suddenly heard the sound of sirens wailing.

"I think that's the van. Come on, guys! Let's move it!" Carabello told the others.

He was a hard-headed man, he was brutally handsome
And she was terminally pretty
She held him up, and he held her for ransom in the heart
Of the cold, cold city
He had a nasty reputation as a cruel dude
They said he was ruthless
They said he was crude
They had one thing in common, they were good in bed
She'd say, 'Faster, faster. The lights are turnin' red."

"So, chances are we'll be making it to the big house in no time. Gotta give her credit for finding one of these guys while undercover." The police officer at the wheel told his colleague, who was sitting next to him.

"Yeah...especially after that ruckus on the 12th." the other officer replied.

Meanwhile, Carabello had been pursuing the van while on his motorbike, and there was a good chance of him jumping onto the roof. However, he would have to give up the motorbike, but it didn't stop him from continuing his plans.

Some time later, he was inches away from the van, and took out a grappling hook. Immediately, he set it on the police van's roof and -- swoosh! -- the hook successfully reached it.

Carabello then climbed up the rope, allowing the motorbike crash onto the road, and within minutes, he jumped onto the roof. He then slowly made his way to the front, and chuckled before he dove further in the sight of the drivers's front window, where he yelled at the top of his lungs, "BOO!"

"What the fu--?!" The police officer in charge of the driving blurted out, before Carabello returned to the roof, holding onto it in order to not get himself hurt.

"Shit, we're gonna crash!!!" The other officer yelled as the van eventually ran into a large sign, and within seconds, the officers were ****, although the airbags were activated.

Carabello then hopped off the roof, where he made his way to the front of the van, and opened the doors. He then searched the officers for the keys to the back doors, and found them on the driver.

Quickly making his way to the back doors, the dark-skinned Crescent Moon was busy unlocking the doors, when he heard the sound of police sirens. He gasped and unlocked the doors as fast as he could, and once the doors were unlocked, he narrowly escaped, allowing the doors to break open.

"We're free! Oh yeah!!" one gang member exclaimed as he exited the van. "This is great! Freedom at last, y'all!" another added.

Another gang member, confined to a wheelchair, actually made his way out of the van, although he landed on the road. It was Birdie, leader of the Turnbull AC's, and said, "Hey! You assholes get the fuck over here! I need someone to help me up!"

Yet another gang member was wise enough to get the crippled leader back into position, and he immediately wheeled his way out of the scene. "You fuckers haven't seen the last of me, you chicken shits!" Birdie yelled at the police.

Somehow, there was only one gang member remaining, and as the police caught up, the Crescent Moons who joined up with Carabello, also arrived, and had to make sure the last remaining man got out safely.

"Hey, you guys were here for the help, were ya?" a voice called out from the van.

"Yeah, our man Carabello did the job. You should thank him." one Crescent Moon replied.

"Good...because I'm sick of being cooped up with a bunch of nobodies!" the voice said before one of the officers yelled, "Get back in the van, right now!!"

"You ladies better say your prayers...because the one and only Ajax is back!" Ajax said as he exited the van.

As the newly escaped Warrior and the Crescent Moons fought the police, Carabello managed to make the save by returning with his motorbike, distracting the officers by attacking one, and they made their pursuit of him as the gang members split. Carabello then hid in the shadows, making sure the officers gave up their pursuit.

He then resumed his trek, looking for Ajax and the rest of the Crescent Moons, until he managed to find them recuperating from the fight. "Yo, are you the guy Swan and Snow told me about?" he asked.

"You're lookin' at him, allright! Damn, it's good to be free. Goddamn retards were dumb enough to arrest someone who was lookin' for some action, especially since that bitch got to me." Ajax replied.

"Right on. Let's get you back to Coney ASAP." Carabello said, offering him a ride on the motorbike. However, he pushed the Crescent Moon off of him and he rode off anyway, leaving the dark-skinned Crescent Moon to mutter, "Ah, shit. Guess we're gonna have to walk our way back to the turf."

Back at the turf...
