Ch 4

Kayla and Mabel sit on the counter with a sour look on their face as Sandra goes to the fridge for drinks. “What do you two want?” Sandra asks. “OJ” Kayla and Mabel reply at the same time. As Sandra opens the fridge she is surprised.

“What the..?” Sandra says in surprise. “Is there something wrong honey?” asks Kayla as she goes near Sandra. Kayla is shocked as both Kayla and Sandra look at the fridge filled with pastries and sweets, all of the favourites of the trio.

Mabel also joins them, shocked with the amount of sweets and baked goods as they take all of them out. The last thing was taken out by Kayla and puts in on the counter. The counter brimming with sweets was a sight that made the trio forget about Lyle.

The trio chose one box each that smelled like one of their favourite treats. As Kayla opens her box she sees it filled with eclairs and one hand written note by Lyle “I hope you like the eclairs I made for you mom! xoxo Lyle” As she reads the note she is frozen in her seat.

Sandra opens her box and it is filled with cute small bite sized fruit tarts and one note “I know you are on a diet but I made them extra healthy! xoxo Lyle.” And as soon as she reads the note she too is frozen on her seat.

Mabel, a little perplexed by the looks on their faces, opens her box. She looks at a box filled with beautiful croissants, they look like the ones she was beaming over that she wanted to try. There was a handwritten note that caught her eye. “I heard you wanted these viral filled croissants once, so I made them. Hope you like them! xoxo Lyle” read the note, which made Mabel also freeze in her place.
