James looked surprised at his own answer, but he still felt compelled to continue. "I don't want to be humiliated and ordered around, but I can't stop that from happening. If I'm going to be cursed, I want to enjoy it."

Sir smiled. "I can respect that answer. Before I start editing your mind, are there any ground rules you'd like to establish? I can't guarantee that others will follow them, but I can do my best to keep you comfortable."

James couldn't believe what Sir was saying. Sir could do anything he wanted, and he was asking James for permission? "I don't want to lose myself. Please don't make me someone unrecognizable. I also don't want to hurt anyone else, and I really don't want to be shown off in public."

Sir nodded. "I can keep your identity, or at least give you a way to keep it in the future. I can also help with not hurting anyone. Public use, though, I'm going to change your mind on. That's something that you're going to enjoy for me, once I've given the order. Does that sound like a deal?"
