Fear and loathing in The Lower Heartland

This was the second time Vel ate breakfast next to his twin while she had a fresh load of his cum in her. But now that they’d had the pregnancy talk, he found it aroused him even more than last time. Their whole family, luckily with the exception of Lord Luthor again, was sat around them but had no idea. They had no idea that a fat load of her brother was sticking up Adi’s undergarments. None of them had any inkling that right now one of Vel’s children might be making its way into her womb. He was rock hard in his trousers, luckily the table concealed it from everyone. Well, almost everyone. Adeline was seated right next to him and could see it just fine. She was stealthily tracing the outline of it with one of her fingers. He really loved his twin. He had the urge to get up and bend her over the breakfast table in front of their mother and sisters. He sent her that thought mentally and saw how much it turned her on as well. She loved the idea of people seeing that she was his. Sadly, that wasn’t something they could do. Not yet.

In an attempt to distract himself from his raging arousal, Vel looked around at his family. Viella was talking to Adi, who had been doing an admirable job keeping that conversation going while also dealing with Vel’s mental suggestions. His mother was talking about something with Dina, kind of over the head of Chielynn, who was sat in between them. Looking at her just sitting there quietly and eating her breakfast, it hit him that he hadn’t even tried to touch Lynn’s mind yet. She was kind of easy to overlook, he supposed. She was generally quiet and was one of the two shortest members of the family. And while he found her brown hair and eyes beautiful, it wasn’t as eye catching as Viella’s bright blonde or Adeline’s fiery red.

He eased out of Adeline’s mind with the mental equivalent of a kiss goodbye, though their permanent link of course remained. Reaching for Lynn instead, he quickly found her mind. Her membrane was, as far as he could tell, pretty average. It was stronger than some he’d seen but weaker than others. It wasn’t opaque like his mother’s or brittle like Dina’s. Unassuming, that was a good way to describe it. He could read her emotions through it quite well, and what he saw really surprised him. Lynn was scared. Why and of what, Vel couldn’t tell. The fear wasn’t fluctuating either, she was just sitting there eating breakfast while scared. There were no outward signs of it. He studied his sister intently, looking for any visible signs of her state of mind. That turned out to be a mistake, as Dina suddenly barked at him. “Why are you staring at Lynn like that, Vel?” Chielynn, who had just been looking down at her food, was briefly startled into looking up and met Vel’s eyes. There he finally saw the fear he’d been looking for. Dina did not seem to take kindly to Vel not reacting to her outburst. “I asked you a question, cripple!” Adi jumped up out of her chair, looking ready to fight, but Lady Rienne had clearly had enough. “Adeline, sit down right now. And Amordina, don’t call your brother such things.” Vel signaled Adi to sit back down, and she relented. Dina wasn’t so easily cowed though. “And why not? He is a cripple, and a weird creep too, staring at Lynn like-“ Lynn, whose fear had been rising steadily since this whole thing kicked off, interrupted Dina. “Dina, it’s okay, that’s enough.” Dina looked at her sister, aghast. “Sis, you shouldn’t have to put up with this crip-, this failure making you uncomfortable at the table and-“ Again, Lynn cut her off. “He’s not. Please drop it.” She put her hand on her sister’s arm, and Dina reluctantly quieted.

Lady Rienne scolded everyone a bit and then gave a lecture about how to behave at the table, but Vel didn’t pay attention. He was focused on Lynn’s mind. After Dina finally backed down, her fear had fallen a bit again, but she remained afraid. He’d say she was more frightened than she had been when he first touched her mind. Of what? The beginning confrontation had nearly sent her into a panic, though she had hidden it well. Was that what she was afraid of, conflict? Why?

He could find no answers here, not without seeing her thoughts. He moved his mind over to Dina, and there found hate and loathing. Also, a sense of injustice. Clearly, Dina was not happy with the outcome of her little outburst. Tough luck, Sis, Vel thought to himself.

He decided to set the record straight on one issue. “One last thing, Mother. I am a cripple, it’s okay to call me one. I take no offense, I know what I am.” Lady Rienne did not approve, but her protests kind of faltered. After all, if he didn’t mind, who was she to say it wasn’t okay? To his utter delight, this seemed to have only infuriated Dina further. Perhaps because he had just robbed one of her favorite insults of its power? Tough luck, Sis.
