Will Mira step through the portal?
Proudly steps through
Mira proudly steps through the portal, keenly aware of the wails of pain and battle cries. There were warriors everywhere engaged in eternal melee, lunging at each other with abandon and madness. One of them came into her direction, and Mira instinctively reacted, the ripped manhood became a crimson blade in her hands. She twisted and sent the man sprawling, cutting his back. He remained dead for only a moment, but then raised again, and attacked another target.
Mira could feel Tartacus presence pulling her, and she heed his call. Many times she was attacked, and each time she killed her opponent, only to see him raise again to the perpetual struggle. Some were barbarians, others mercenaries, but some didnt appear like soldiers at all, there men and women, young and old, peasant and nobles, sometimes these were armed with real weapons, and at others just mundane items.
They attacked with the same anger, and if at first she hesitated, soon she found the delay they imposed nothing short of tedious, killing them had the same momentary effect, and than they were gone. She killed perhaps a score of opponents, but finally she reached a military camp, and Tartacus tent inside. She walked in bathed in blood, as she should.
The demon she saw was everything she expected. it was almost like seeing a gorilla shaped into a man, with his bone joins horribly cutting his skin, open wounds that continuously bled on the ground. His scars told of hundreds of battles. It turned his attention on her.
"BASTARD!" She lunged, and even if the creature swung its powerful arms on her, Mira deftly ducked bellow his strike, sinking her weapon between the creatures ribs. It looked perplexed for a moment, but Mira didnt stop, she felt her sword slid out of the gashing wound, and sank it again. And again. The gorilla demon finally hit her, she felt her bones break as she was launched out of the tent, she heard something else snap as she hit the ground.
Mira screamed in pain as the places unhallow healing mend her body, just soon enough to dodge the sledgehammer blow the ape demon was going to make. Her sword was still sticking from his chest, but now that the creature was armed, she would have a much harder time reaching it.
"You promised. You promised, and you let that.... MONSTER do that to me" She saw the hammer coming, and it was so slow she was standing next to him when the weapon struck the ground. " YOU PROMISED" the paladin kicked the hilt of her sword and saw it sink deeper inside the simian devil. " I AM NOT A VICTIM" When she punched his jaw she felt her finger bones break, but so did the creatures face. She felt his jaw fall in. She pulled her sword, and decapitated the defeated demon.
She felt her heart empty, and she fell on her knees. She though she had killed a demon lord, but when she heard clapping behind her, and she saw the red skinned demon also coming out of the tent, she knew she had killed the wrong demon.
This one didnt look so bestial, but was equally threatening. His body could be a god's statue, so well defined his muscles, his face was almost handsome, if not for the double set of eyes. His armor looked like a gladiator attire.
"Astonishing. Absolutely outstanding. Never in my years I heard of a still living mortal to so handily defeat a demon of the sixth rank in hell, but I see you deserve the title of demon slayer. Come inside, Mira, we have much to discuss"
She did come in. She saw a wicked looking plate mail in the contours of a woman's body, and knew it was hers. "That was Yornar, my army's smith. He was bring me your suit of armor. Dress, I assume you dont want to talk to me naked." The though hadnt crossed her mind, but she agreed.
The armor shaped to her body unlike even her ceremonial armor did. But it was also softer inside, it felt warm and... organic. A harder patch of metal cupped her breasts, like a bra, but also her shoulders and neck were protected. The slickness over her ribs would help most strikes slid down. It was "sexy", perhaps, but it was also well designed to protect her in battle. 'Better than Arlain's armory. Those were either too light, because they assumed women were weaker than man, or too bulky, because they converted only the cheapest full mails to female warriors. A stupid tradition, to be sure, marks of a society that did nothing short of **** women.
Her hate gave her wings, and she unfurled the batlike wings from her back. A continuation of her armor. When she put her helmet, she felt small horns grow from it.
"You shall be my finest knight" Tartacus says, drawing her from her reverie. "Do you swear to serve me?"
"No" the paladin replied. The demon smirked, but didnt say anything, letting her continue. "I am done with oaths. I will fight and kill, and if you and your army want to go the same way, then I
wont stop you."
"Bold words. But for now they please me. Now go and rest, we shall march against Marus forces in the morning"
How will the campaign go? Will Mira break free of her demonic lord.?
