Arrival and preparing to start

Although all the couples arrived at the airport about the same time, they really didn't get much time to talk before the flight. Once they arrived in Mexico, William rounded them all up and led them to an activity van. Joe took the driver seat and as they drove towards the resort, William stood near the front and got everyone's attention.

"Welcome everyone to another of our yearly meet ups. We have two new groups with us this year-"

"And what lovely things they are," Anton cut in before his wife elbowed him in the ribs. Gabrielle laughed as he gasped for breath. William waited a moment to make sure there wouldn't be another interruption before he continued.

"As i was saying, welcome to Rick, Lisa, Bobby, and Gabrielle. We try to be a pretty tight knit group and we do swing together outside of our meet ups, but we like to do these trips at least once a year as a bit of fun and trust building. Sometimes we set up events, other times we pair up and go shopping. This year we will hild morning meetings to do two things. The first will be the couple drawings, and then second will be figuring out an itinerary. "

"I have a question," Lisa called out. "How do we do the drawings?"

"Good question. Its rather simple. We put our room keys in a fishbowl that Fiona brought. The ladies take turns drawing a key, and whomever owns that key will be their partner until the next morning. But if you draw your spouse, you have to try again. That said, day four is spouse day. Now drawing, just reconnecting and doing things together."

Fiona lifted her hand and got permission to speak. "I should have asked before we left, but Lisa and Gabrielle, do you ladies have a Go bag to take to your temporary rooms? If not, i have a spare."

Gabrielle was used to meet ups like this, so she had come prepared, but Lisa admitted that she hadn't thought to bring one. Fiona passed over the spare and then nodded for William to continue.

"So we do have rules. The biggest and most obvious is condom usage. If you are going vaginal, you use a condom unless you have express permission from spouses and partners. The next rule is the safe word rule. This year we are using "Pineapple "as the safe word. Just because we all came to swing doesn't mean we have to always be ready and consenting. When the safe word is said, all play stops. Final rule is that we are all here to have fun, so lets all be nice and respectful. Now today once we get to the resort, we will take time to get everything put away, and then meet up at my lodge so we can do our first fishbowl ritual and set up plans for the rest of the day."

Soon the bus arrived at the resort and the couples filed off and went to check in. Rick and Lisa bid their new friends a temporary farewell and headed to what was essentially Rick's room. Rick could tell that Lisa was absolutely giddy with excitement at the prospect of what to come. He smiled at her as she hummed and packed her bag. Although he was looking forward to the experience too, he was a little nervous about what was to come. How many times had he and Lisa discussed this before deciding to open up the marriage to swinging?

Rick's phone buzzed that William and Fiona were ready for them. Rick gave one last look around at their bungalow before they made their way out the door. All five couples were in similar bungalows that stood on stilts in the water. A wooden walkway ran in front of the row of bungalows. Not far away was the private beach owned by the resort. Joe had told Rick that the beach was open to nudity. The waves splashed gently under the walkway as they made their way down to a larger bungalow William had rented. They were the last of the couples to arrive. They were all sitting at the table waiting for them, with a fishbowl full of keys in the center of the table. Lisa took Rick's key and dropped it in with the others and took a seat.

"Well," William said cheerfully, "Who wants to draw first?"
