Check out the address.

As you head down the road you decide if it was created by magic and has an address, it must mean something right? That said you have no idea where anything in this city is. You don't have to drive far before you find an electronics store and head inside. Of course you are greeted happily at the door and pointed in the right direction of the gps units. You take a few steps and spot the display with all the phones. Not that you have anyone to call, but you do have credit and most phones have gps. Then again if you have a phone with gps you can be tracked and that might be bad. Deciding to skip the phone for now you look around and try to decide just what to get. The more you look the more you can't decide. All you really need is something to help with finding things, but at the same time easy access to the web and you could even set it up so you can pay your car payment online, if you can get a credit card that is. Heading up to the area that has computers you find a 10” tablet that has a pretty good processor and built in 4g data connection just like a phone. The second you start playing with it a young man, rather plain looking dressed in his work getup, walks up and asks, “Can I help you?”

“Umm if I can get signed up for a data plan I think I'll take this.” It is $500 which will eat just about half of what you have left, but if it lets you do everything online without a place to live it will be worth it. Assuming you can start earning money that is.

“Of course, come with me.” He leads you to the computer that he uses to set everything up and starts clacking on the computer. You pull out your id and hand it to him and he gets to work. “Ok all I need to finish is a credit card, or bank account that you want to set up the payments for the data plan.” He says finally.

“I don't have one. Can't I pay cash?”

“Well sure, but to set up the data plan with either a bank account or a credit card. I am sorry. We do have some pay as you go smart phones if you don't have credit.”

Dejected, you just say, “Well thanks anyway, I might be back.” As you walk away you start to think that setting up some kind of a bank account might be a good idea. Before you leave the store you do a search for the address and borrow a pen and post it note to jot down directions.

Back outside you follow the directions. It takes about twenty minutes to cross town but you finally find the address. It is an abandoned looking warehouse. “Well fuck.” Is all you can say looking at the building. But as you sit there trying to decide what to do next you start to see a faint blue glow coming from inside, the same color of glow that the card had when you first picked it up. “Huh, is that good or bad?”
