In a temple.

You wake up with a cold cloth covering your face. The heat is sweltering, but not painful. Sitting up, you look around and see a very plain stone room. Looking down at yourself you see a body you are familiar with, but not the one you woke up in yesterday. “How the fuck?” You say, hearing the serving girls voice come out is rather odd, but considering everything that you have experienced, it almost seems normal. “Well now what? Am I human again?”

“Why would you ask that?” A male voice asks from out of sight, “Were you something else?”

Turning toward the voice you see an older man with thinning white hair dressed in a long flowing white and blue robe. Judging by the symbols on the robe, and how he carries himself you are pretty sure he is a priest of some kind. You have no idea how he would react to the truth, so you decide to tell him just enough that he might help you. “I wasn't in this body. Someone did some kind of magic, they crawled inside of me and then shat me out. This was the body they crawled inside of me with.”

“Let me cast a few spells.” He says, then proceeds to say all manner of odd things that don't really sound like words. You sit there quietly as he does his thing. He looks you over intently as he casts his spells. Finally he stops, his eyes fixed on you. “According to my magic, and an entity from beyond that I contacted on your behalf. You are human. I can see that your soul has been to the abyss, for what reason I can't say, but if you were evil, you are not any longer. As for what happened to you last night, from what I can divine, you got fucked up the ass, but other than that I don't know. From what my magic says, that body is yours, a reincarnation I would imagine. Your soul seems to be having trouble getting used to the change perhaps, but other than that I don't know what to say. If I had to guess, what you saw that freaked you out was a dream.”

“A dream? It was so real. Plus I wasn't in this body yesterday.” Running your hands over yourself, it all feels right, sort of. You remember seeing this girl, is it possible that the rest was a dream? “How did I get here? Did I have any belongings?”

“You were brought in here by a young man and a young blond girl. They said you fell. All you had with you was that simple white dress you are wearing. The man paid for me to heal you. That is all I know.”

Sitting up, you plop your small feet on the stone ground. “Thank you for everything. Do I owe you for anything?”

“No, I am happy to help. Just remember the church of The lady of fire whenever you are in need.” He holds out a hand and helps you to stand. “What will you do now? Do you need to stay here?”

“I don't think so. I don't know, I suppose that will depend on what I find at the inn I stayed at last night. If it was a dream then my things should be there right?” You don't wait for an answer as how could he really give you one, and continue. “I suppose I am in your, and your lady of fire's debt. Thank you.” With that said, you walk out of the room into a grand red and gold hall. The exit is pretty obvious, a massive statue dominates one end of the massive hall, the other a pair of huge doors that are wide open letting in the sun. Strolling along you make your way to the exit and into the light of day. The city is just as you remembered it from when you arrived. Brilliantly bright with golds bronze and red the predominate coloration. Strolling through the city barefoot, however, the ground seems much hotter than before, and you seem much more able to feel every rock and piece of sand on the cobblestone streets. “I guess I need shoes.” You think out loud. Another thing you notice is as you pass many people and things that are a bit unusual, you hear at least three different languages being spoken, and while for some reason you can easily understand what they are saying, it isn't quite like the near telepathy like before. It takes a little while to find the inn that you stayed at, but you eventually arrive.
