What happened? "I think about that day a lot." Holly told Sam over the video call. "I just came home find my Mom alone," she began to cry, "Dad never came home ever since that day."
"Look," Sam began, "This is not the smartest discussion or come back I have. But. . .unlike earthly or flesh and blood fathers God is your heavenly father if you believe it or not and will never forsake you or abandon you."
Holly looked up from her tears, "Then I ask you this question," she sniffled and wiped tears away. "I feel so alone at times. My question is why would he leave?"
"I don't know, and I probably don't have the answer you are looking for but maybe the one you need to hear, the truth. I am sure God does not waste anything. Even the bad stuff. No matter how dark. We come out stronger."
Holly chuckled, at Sam's response. "Easy for you too say, Miss Perfect."
"I am not perfect. I had an older brother whom ran away from home. Now that's not the same. But I understand in way losing a family member."
"Oh, I am sorry I didn't know," Holly apologized.
"It's okay I don't really talk about it," Sam replied, "Anyway," she sighed, "Should we get back on topic or do you want to talk more about your Dad?"
"No, it's all good, we can talk about the topic now," Holly said.
"I think we should talk tomorrow," Sam said. Holly slowly nodded.
"Yeah, you're probably right." They ended the video call. _Okay, tomorrow. Why do a lot of Christians just have belief with no action?
