You're too late

Nell is closer to you so you check on him first. His back is to you but you can tell instantly when you touch him that he's been gone for a while now.

Hurriedly you step over him and rush to Adi. He was definitely still alive when you last saw him, so maybe there's some hope?

When you get to Adi, though, that little fragment of hope is dashed. You call his name and he doesn't move at all. When you turn his face towards you it is immediately obvious that the eyes begging you for help have departed. You call his name several more times to no response.

Though you have plenty of healing magic, resurrection magic is outside of your current ability. There's nothing you can do for them now. You look around, finally recognizing the sounds of wildlife and the trees rustling in the wind. You realize that after this pointless **** you've been left by yourself out in the middle of the wilderness.
