On Twelve

You push the girl away and she lands on the ground scowling at you. You slip out of the elevator in time to watch her stand and glare at you.

You walk into a surprising ordinary office. The only thing that seems off is the fact that everyone is meticulously dressed and looks gorgeous.

A red head stops you.

“I’m Cleo, can I help you?”

“I’m looking for Vespa. I have an appointment.”

She grins at you showing canines that are just a bit too long.

“It’s the corner office just down the hallway.”

You walk briskly toward the office. You get you cross and holy water ready. Shockingly you reach her door without interference. You grab your stake and open it.

Sitting at the desk is a gorgeous woman in a skin tight black dress.

“Can I help you?”

You throw holy water at her.

“Yes, die!”

She moves with incredible speed, dodging the every drop of holy water. She makes an inhuman hiss, and her eyes glow red.

You raise your stake.

Before you can do anything, she grabs you by the neck and lifts you off the ground. You flail at her, but it’s useless. You realize you are going to die.

“Vespa, do you have a moment?”

The voice distracts Vespa and you thrust the stake at her chest in desperation. It finds its mark with a sickening noise.

Vespa looks at you in utter shock. You fall to the ground as her hands begin to turn to dust.

You exit her office and make a run for the stairs. You manage to make it to the basement exit, before any guards block you.

You walk out into the setting sun and smile. You just killed an immensely powerful vampire.

You get in your car and head to the church. You enter in and find Father Michael.

“Father how is she?”
