They fight!

As the Governess and her lover are sleeping peacefully on the bed, they suddenly received the very rude awakening in the form of the sounds of cannons firing from multiple directions!

They take a look outside and discovered that a fleet from Kingdom of Cerro is firing cannonballs to into the city while King Henry II personally led his troops to besiege the city's walls by land.

While the garrison is defending Dagobert with all weapons available, Edward knows that defenders will not lasted longer more than a month and since there are no ships in sight, he decided to go get some helps from the fellow refugees from Clovis like him.

At an old citadel that is currently being occupied by a large number of refugees from Clovis, Edward rushes into the walled citadel with his horse, get down and run to talk with Ingra about what to do about this.

"You wanted us to help defend the city?! I am not against this idea. I just do not know how!" Ingra said with concern on her face.

"But if we do nothing, we will all died along with everyone in this city! Plus, there is nowhere to run! So fight them is our only option!" Edward said while looking at her with determination.

Upon seeing that he determined to fight against the invaders and knowing that nothing can change his mind, Ingra reluctantly agreed to allow the refugees to join this battle.

With that confirmation, Edward and Ingra rallied the refugees who wanted to help the garrison help defend this town along with the local civilians who also wanted to defend their homes from being conquered. They run out in all directions in the city, grabbing all weapons of the fallen soldiers to whatever that can be used as weapons.

Edward runs up to the rampart with two crossguard swords in his hands and jump down to slash all enemy soldiers he can see. On the ramparts, archers, crossbowmen, musketeers and artillery officers opened fire on the besieging army.

On the hill not far from the city in the south, King Henry II set up his camp with a horde of his royal guards to watch how the battle turned out while the artillery officers are lining up the cannons to fire at the city.

Back at the battlefield before the closed city's gate, a battering ram is trying to punch its way into the city. Edward, who is fighting nearby alone on the ground while the troops on the rampart above are covering for him, spots this and try to make his way to the battering ram.

But before he can make it to the battering ram, a shot suddenly fired at his torso, sending him to fly hit the wall!

When he takes a look at what hit him, he spotted a line made of seven cannons are being formed on top of the hill where the King of Cerro and his royal guards and the artillery officers are stationing at the moment.

Just as he thought he is about to die, the shredded parts of his body start to regenerate as he is feeling some sort of powers are surging throughout his body!

Suddenly, his body glowed bright blue and unleash a wave of blue flames to vaporize all enemy's troops nearby, killing many of them!

Feeling empowered, he runs toward the battering ram in a flash and slam into it with his left shoulder, causing it to flip and fall on its right! Then, he throws a fireball at it, setting on fire and killing all the men inside.

He then turned to look at the royal encampment and form two blue bright balls of fire in his hands and throw them into that direction!

Seeing what are coming their way, the King and his men immediately dispersed into many directions as the two massive balls of fire struck their camp, destroying it an explosion!

Edward suddenly levitates himself into the air, enlarge his body to become 15 feet tall and aim his hands at a Cerron fleet made up 20 warships. Then, a massive blue fireball blast is shot out from his hands, hitting some of the ships and vaporizing the others, resulting the entire fleet to be destroyed.

Below the waves, what left of the warships, the cannons and the dead bodies of the Cerron sailors are sinking to the bottom of the sea.

Unbeknownst to Edward himself and to everyone in the city down below, the powers that were activated within Edward was the Divine Powers he received when he was a child.
