Company and Temptation

Climbing the stairs of the apartment building, Alan found himself wondering if he should apologize to his sister once he got back. She hadn’t really done anything wrong, besides being an annoying younger sibling and after having that time to cool off, he could admit that he had been testy over nothing. He also didn’t want her to feel like she could get away with being a brat.

He sighed heavily and decided that given he was just given supernatural powers, he could cut his sister some slack.

He wrestled his keys from his pocket and unlocked the door, “Hey, I’m back, sorry about earlier…”

A voice not his sister’s responded “Oh? Alan what did you do to my darling Selena this time?”

Following the voice Alan saw his sister’s friend Bethany Lee sitting at the kitchen table grinning at him. Bethany had been Selena’s long time roommate since college but she had decided she needed a place of her own when she started some etsy business or another for storage. She always had this impish and playful air to her, and a general sense that she was up to no good.

“Nothing that concerns you Beth, just a little argument between siblings. Where is Lena anyway” Alan hung up his coat on a chair.

“Just in the bathroom, we were about to play a board game, care to join in? Or are you afraid of being crushed beneath my heel?” She smirked as she raised her foot and wagged it in Alan’s face.

His eyes followed, she was wearing some sort of pointed 3 inch black heels with black and red striped stockings on her toned tan legs. She was wearing cut off shorts that he knew would accentuate her shapely ass and a cold shoulder top that maximized her figure's shape even considering her small chest.

It was no secret between the two of them that Alan found her attractive. She had a sweet cute face, short black bob hair cut and an amazingly athletic body. What Alan had found more surprising was her interest in him. Since they had met each other they had often flirted back and forth, but had long ago had a discussion about not ever pursuing a relationship for worries it might make things awkward for Selena.

Tearing his eyes away Alan responded as he sat down, “You know I’m not one to back down from a challenge, and for the record at the end of this, you’ll be the one looking up at me”

“Oooh you’d like that wouldn’t you big B-” Beth cut herself off as Lena came out of the bathroom.

She looked over at Alan “Oh hey you’re back, you cool your jets or still being a dick?”

“Jets are quite cooled, thank you. Sorry for this morning. Mind if I join you in a game?” Alan leaned back hoping it would drop with just that.

“Yeah yeah, sure..Waterdeep sound good?” She said moving to the board games.

“OH fuck you Beth I knew you were the builder the whole time, I fucking knew it.” Alan tossed his cards down on the table

Beth looked smug as she moved her VP counter to the front, “Should have stopped me then, but you were too busy with your soldiers.”

“Goddamn” Alan turned on his sister “And you kept using her spaces and giving her gold.”

“Well that's what you get for giving me all those mandatory quests!” She stuck her tongue out as Beth gave her a hug

“That’s right don’t let the mean man bully you just because he sucks at the game” She chuckled

Alan leaned back dramatically in his chair, cresting his hands over his eyes “Damn it…” then leaned forward “Another game?”

Lena rolled her eyes “No thanks, it's late I’m gonna head to bed.”

Beth looked at her phone “Yeah, shit I missed the last bus, guess it’s uber for me”

“No way, stay the night we got extra pillows and the couch is pretty comfy. Catch a bus in the morning.” Lena said waving her hands dismissively

“That ok with you?” Beth looked at Alan

“Yeah, don’t waste your money, feel free to spend the night.” Alan said getting up from the table to grab the extra pillows and blankets from the closet.

Lena grabbed Beth’s hands “Come on, I’ll loan you some PJs” and with that the women left Alan to set up the couch.

Around ten minutes later, Beth came out alone wearing a loose tank top and some of those pj shorts his sister had been wearing earlier.

Alan was drinking some water in the kitchen and glanced over “Lena go to bed?”

“Yeah said she needed to be up early tomorrow or something like that. Thanks again for letting me stay.” Beth walked over towards him

“Hey, it’s no problem at all”

“Hey,” She paused looking at her feet and then back up, from the angle almost revealing her chest through the neck of the loose fitting shirt. “Mind keeping me company for a while? I’m not ready to sleep yet.”

(So Tenth Chapter, wow. To all those who are liking, reading, favouriting…I’m honestly blown away. I really only started writing this because I had a very specific Idea in mind. I’ve never written anything like this before and it makes me happy that others are enjoying it.
