Lunch!

The next week exactly, an unmarked package from Onyx Pharmaceuticals arrived for John. Now, all he had to do was plan it out.

John’s mother & father went away for a week, leaving the house to John & Sarah… Well, John really, since Sarah was with her friends constantly, out partying.

“Hey Chris, how's it going? I have the house to myself and need some company, why don't you and Sarah come over for lunch? I'll make us something nice.”

Later that afternoon, the pair arrived. Chris, thanking John for the nice gesture, and Sarah, barely giving him a nod. Even the happiness of the engagement couldn't shake her cold heart for her brother, apparently.

John started out giving wine to the pair, since he didn't drink and wine would relax them, especially Sarah. Just in case something went wrong…

“I made us all Shepherd's Pie,” John said. In single serving plates, he made sure to give Sarah the special lunch. As they began to eat, they had nice conversations, with John acting like he was having a wonderful time. As they finished their meals, they moved to the living room and relaxed, watching some random show on Netflix, as most people do who have little in common.

“I don't feel so good..” Sarah said, as she tried to stand up and failed. As Chris tried to help her, John faked getting some medicine, but it was too late, the change began.
