Head to the bar early (Alt)

By the time you make it to the bar, it's just about 2. A bit early to start drinking, but what the hell? If you can't start early on a day you're fired for basically no reason, when can you?

Fortunately, the bar is pretty empty. A handful of regulars but that's about it. You order a beer and find a quiet table and wallow.

Unfortunately, you haven't really been much of a drinker since the change. By your third beer, you're definitely feeling it. You're enjoying the swaying of the world and the numbing **** when someone approaches the table. Looking up, you see a man in his mid forties or early fifties. He's wearing a black button up shirt and jeans. "Hey there, babe. What brings a hottie like you into a place like this at this time of day?"

"Don't call me babe," you say. When the guy doesn't leave, you sigh. Maybe it's the booze making you feel chattier, but you keep going. "Got fired today. For no reason."

"Ahh, that's a shame. Anyone who'd fire a hottie like you..." he trails off as you glare at him, then raises his hands. "Okay, alright. Message received. But, hey, maybe I can help ya out. I have some openings at a little establishment I run. You wanna come down and check it out?"
