Tackling the kitchen

Nina finished setting up her bathroom and and found some sweats and a tshirt to throw on. She would have to wait to organize her closet, her stomach was growling in protest.

She headed down the stairs into the kitchen, where more boxes awaited her attention. Shar set about putting the dishes away and organizing various areas in the kitchen. She was just about done when Anna strolled down the stairs. Nina noticed she looked rather happy this morning, she grinned to herself and thought about what she just did herself.

“Morning honey, you’re looking rather cheery today, did you sleep well?” Nina aske slyly with a grin

Anna looked at her mothers knowing grin and blushed. “Yes I did sleep well, thank you” Anna said with looking her mother in the eye.

“Anna, you don’t have to be embarrassed about it, we all have needs, it’s natural.” Nina said softly.

Anna blushed again “I just like to keep it private is all, I’m not embarrassed” Anna said as she sat down at the table. “So what’s for breakfast” Ann’s asked. Quickly trying to change the subject.

Nina respected her daughters privacy and left it alone. “Umm we have to run and get some groceries later today.” Nina opened the fridge and freezer and then said “but in the meantime we can have eggs, pancakes, sausage, or cereal”

“I’ll just have a bowl of cereal mom” Anna said while she scrolled on her phone.

Nina looked up annoyed, her daughter and that phone. She grabbed the box that had the cereal in it and set it in front of Anna. “You’re a big girl, grab one and grab a bowl and some milk” she said and went to finish the kitchen.

Anna grabbed a cereal and poured it in a bowl, she went to the fridge for milk and had to bend over to get it off the bottom. It Nina a few moments to answer, but she eventually said “Oh yes dear, I’m fine, just thinking of something I really wanted to do”.

Anna nodded and sat back down and began to eat her cereal and scroll on her phone.

Nina grabbed a bowl as well, she was too hungry to wait to cook something. Both ladies finished their bowls and set the dishes in the sink.

Nina grabbed her to do list and looked at Anna. “Alright honey, so I’m going to tackle the rest of the kitchen, and then the living room, you can take care of your room and your bathroom. Once we are both done we can tackle the rest of the house as well. Sound good?”

Anna nodded “I can’t believe I get my own bathroom!” She said excitedly. “Wow I can’t believe I’m getting excited over a bathroom” Anna said while laughing. Her mother joined in and said “My my you really are getting old now!”

Both women laughed a bit more and then set about their tasks. Nina finished the kitchen and had everything in its proper place. She moved on to the living room and started hanging her pictures and setting up various decorations. It was almost noon by the time Nina was done and she needed a break.

Anna went into her bathroom and it was setup in a similar manner as her mothers. Anna’s bathroom wasn’t as long as her mothers and there was only 1 sink. Her bathroom has the same glass shower and shower head. Her floor was a black and white tile and it was heated as well. The bathroom was huge compared to her last one. Anna quickly unpacked her few bathroom items.

Anna laughed, the few items she had for her bathroom barely took up any space.

She went back to her room and unpacked everything and got it all setup. Her room was now box free and looked exactly how she wanted it. Just then the door bell rang. Anna looked out her window, which faced the front of the house and saw a group of women holding various food dishes.

She made her way down stairs and saw her mother already at the food talking to the group.

Nina opened the door to a group of women from the neighborhood. They all smiled and handed her various dishes of food they had made.

The group consisted of Ashley, her neighbor to the right, Lynn her neighbor to the left, Carol, her neighbor across the street, and Mandy, carols neighbor.

“It’s so nice to meet you all and thank you for the food! My name is Nina and I have a daughter named Anna” she saw Anna approaching from the corner of her eye. “Here she comes now”

Anna greeted everyone and stood shyly by her mother while she talked. Then Mandy spoke to her directly “I have a daughter the same age as you, her name is Bailey, I’m sure she would love to have another girl to hang out with.” Mandy smile kindly.

“Ohh that’s sounds great! I’m sure you two will have tons to talk about” Nina said excitedly.

Anna just smiled and nodded her head in agreement.

The women offered their help in any way if they needed it and made their way back to their respective houses.

Nina and Anna carried the various dishes to the kitchen and set them on the counter.

“Well that was very nice of them to do this for us, now we have lunch. Are you going to hang out with Bailey?” Nina asked has her mother put food on a plate.

Anna shrugged her shoulders “I have to meet her first and see how she is and if we will get along. Nina nodded and was hopeful her daughter would come out of her shell.

After eating, they went back to their unpacking and by end of day the house was mostly unpacked. All the major rooms were box free and looked amazing. The house in total and 3 bedrooms, two full bathrooms, and half bath on the first floor. Very spacious living room, kitchen, and dining room. The basement was finished with a couple rooms down there as well. One of those rooms would serve as Nina’s office on days she decided to work from.

Anna was enjoying her new bathroom and was taking a shower when her mother came to check on her room. It was looking very good and no boxes in sight. She heard the water running and made her way toward it.

Now Nina and Anna were pretty open with each other, and were pretty close. But Anna was pretty shy when it came to her body and sex life. Nina had tried to convey to Anna that she could tell her anything without judgement. But Anna never opened up. Nina decided to check on her in the bathroom.
