Chapter 18 by lis-barrel

How is your night going?

You sleep soundly and the next morning you are stuck (play a game and or try something new).

The storm is so loud despite Kiara's cozy bed.

She herself was not with you she seems as if she rarely had to sleep.

You roll back and forth, as the door opens Kiara brings a bottle with brown contents.

"problems sleeping?"

"yes um what is this"

"this is a sleep potion, try it."

a little hesitantly you take the open bottle and drink a sip.

It tastes strange.

and then you are catapulted into the realm of dreams

When you open your eyes again, some light comes through the window and you can still hear the rain.

Through the window you can see that a current of water has formed around the small hill.

You sighed, on the one hand you were stuck, on the other hand you were happy with whom you were stuck.

You went into the living room where Kiara was sitting and reading.

She was wearing reading glasses and had replaced her clothes with a blanket.

The blanket was just right so you could see her figure underneath.

You got a little hard but tried to cover it up.

Kiara noticed, but stayed focused on her book.

On the living room table in front of her was a small breakfast for you.

Silently you sat down and began to eat the meal.

She had refined it with her ration, which made the whole thing at least not quite so meager.

She closed the book and put the glasses and book aside.

"Before you ask, no, I can't teleport you out."

"Why is that?" you are a little surprised.

"Well, someone like me might be powerful, but our magic can also be affected.

Because of the rain, many magical artifacts, sometimes even potions, float wildly in the cesspond, making teleportation a dangerous thing."

"sucks but well can' t do anything about it."

"if you get bored just tell me.

I have some games in the drawer or you can help me here and there.

Maybe you want to do me a favor too."
