Getting a drink she meets a man who might be able to help her

Bria allowed herself a single nervous swallow before assuming a well-practiced look of confidence. She was not going to appear weak in front of her competition, especially when they were so blatantly inferior to her.

Sauntering toward the bar - yes, this FTW guy had an actual bar in his house! - she tried to ignore that every man in the room was ogling her. And every man in the room was black.

"What's to drink?" she asked casually. The bartender reached for a glass, and without so much as asking made a mix of several drinks before handing it to her. "Uh, thanks, but..."

"Don't bother, he gave all the girls the same thing, he just serves what he wants to. Does a pretty good job of it too," a voice said. Bria nearly spilled her drink in surprise. He laughed as she turned, and she found herself staring.

Black men didn't usually make her hot, at least that she would admit to, and this guy wasn't really all that great looking, but somehow she found herself staring stupidly at him like a nerdy girl being flirted with by the star quarterback.

"I'm Ramsey," he said, and his voice was smooth and deep. "Try the drink. It's strong but it tastes good."

"You've tried it?" she asked, finally, and cautiously took a sip, blinking as she tasted it.

"See? Hardly even tastes like ****."

Bria nodded briefly, then took a much bigger drink. "It's great!" she exclaimed, and tried to wipe the surprise from her voice as she continued. "Have you tried it?"

Ramsey smiled, shaking his head as he pointed over his shoulder toward the competition. "I heard them talking about it."

"Oh." was all Bria could think to say, and took another large sip while she tried to think of what to say. "So what do you do?"

"I'm here to do the video," he said.

"Oh! You're the producer?" Bria asked, wide-eyed. Could she be so lucky?

Ramsey paused, then said "I've been trying to decide which girl is my favorite. They picked up some good looking ones for this."
