There goes the neighborhood

The first out of the van was a large green woman who appeared as though she could barely fit in the human sized seat. "Mom! That lady's green!" Darrien shouted despite his mother being right beside him at the window.

"Oh lord." her voice barely made a sound as she continued to watch the woman stepping to the back passenger side door. "She's an orc." Mary's voice shook with fright. At least with werewolves you'd only have to worry about them a few days out of the month. But orcs?! They were always so loud and violent!

Stepping out of the backseat was a much shorter orc child. "Her son's green too!" Darrien cheered before running to his room.

"Wha-where are you going young man?!" Mary shouted.

"To see if he wants to play!"

"Absolutely not!" Mary fumed and Darrien stopped in his tracks. "I mean...they just arrived, let's give them a few days to get settled."

Darrien whined and complained that he had no friends in the neighborhood to play with but ultimately Mary would not budge.
