A Place of Safety

*At the start of the story I have them knowing the Mayor is evil. That was a plot mistake on my part. This episode happens at the time of Band Candy which is when they first get an inkling that the Mayor is evil; that’s why they begin to figure it out in this chapter.

“I got it,” Amy said as she finished a few hand motions in the air. “The barrier has been strengthened.”

“We can stay here now?” Cordelia asked hopefully.

“No, currently two people can,” Amy explained. “And I made it so we can all catch a few hours of sleep, but most of us are still going to have to leave,”

Xander looked over where Dawn had passed out on the couch, “Yeah, I suspect we’re going to need those sleep breaks whenever we can get them. Willow, do we have any more of an idea what we are going up against?”

Willow was sorting through the papers that Amy had brought back, “It’s strange, Snyder was getting messages a few days ago reminding him to keep everything under control. Like whoever was messaging him knew something was going to happen.”

“Who are they from?” Faith asked.

“The Mayor’s office,” Willow said as she held up a piece of stationary with the city’s logo on it.

“Could be someone over there is behind this,” Xander suggested. “Can’t trust politicians or bureaucrats.”

“Yeah, like some paper pusher is threatening the world,” Faith said with a roll of her eyes. “Give me something more interesting than that.”

“I’ll go,” Cordelia suggested. “I prefer the safe option.”

“Weirdly, they still seem to be open,” Willow said as she brought up their website. “Huh, why does City Hall keep such late hours?”

“Speaking of the hour,” Xander said as he looked out at the night sky. “I imagine that the vamps are looking at a night of feasting.”

“Maybe not,” Amy countered. “During magic outbreaks doesn’t everything else tend to stay indoors. Or, well, underground.”

“Willy would know what’s going on,” Xander said. “Who wants to beat it out of him?”

“The demon bar?” Faith said, having only heard of it. “That sounds like a job for B and me.”

Over on the couch Dawn cracked an eye open. No way would they let her go, but she had always wanted to see what Willy’s was like.

“There’s still a lot we don’t know about the magic,” Amy cut in. “Like have you noticed it is having different effects depending on the location and time?”

“Yeah, I was like totally into Xander’s kissing when we were out there,” Cordelia pointed out.

“Maybe I’m just that good of a kisser.”

“No one is that good,” Cordelia cut back. “But it was totally different than what happened with Giles and Faith where he just ordered her around.

“And back at the Magic Shop a girl was being spanked in the back,” Willow added. “Plus, what happened with Amy at the…”

“And Buffy,” Amy cut in, not wanting to go back to those memories, “She was being sold by Principal Snyder.”

“Where is Buffy?” Xander asked.

“She’s grabbing a nap,” Willow said, “My room.”

“Okay, well we need to be heading out,” Xander said as he walked over to her room. “I just will…Oh wow!”

Buffy was lying on Willow’s bed, her clothes stripped off, three fingers frantically fucking her pussy. “Yes, buy me, I’m just a whore, give me you money and I’ll do anything you want.”

“B needs a minute,” Faith said as she grabbed Xander and pulled him back.

Xander turned to meet a room full of stares, “Um, well, I was just thinking about how that will impact our planning. And not to obviously change the subject, but how should we split up?”
