She manages to hide safely

At the last second, Anna got herself up onto the seat and hid her legs out of sight. She hoped no one had heard her moving around in there.

As the girls moved into the room, Anna heard the other stall doors slam shut. After a minute, they opened, then shut again as more girls entered. Outside, the heavy bathroom door kept banging as more girls entered and others left. Anna pictured the constant stream of girls moving through. How many people would pass through here? She heard the loud sounds of girls laughing and teasing each other. Her whole body blushed with embarrassment to imagine what they might say if they saw her like this.

Anna’s mind raced as she considered her predicament. There were only three stalls in here. On a normal day, girls barely had enough time to do their business or change their tampons before the next bell rang. If anyone was taking too long, the next girl in line had no problem yelling at her to hurry up. Now there were only two stalls available. The other stalls were opening and closing constantly, but Anna would have to keep this door locked the entire time. How long would it be before…

There was a loud pounding on the door.

“Hey! Hurry up!”

There was a moment of silence, then the girl started banging on the door again.

“Hey! Is there anyone in there?”

Anna bit her lip anxiously.
