Talk to her anyway

“So about Chris…” Dean starts to say before being cut off once again. “Don’t worry about him, he’s not a concern anymore, I’ve got it under control,” Brooke says without opening her eyes. Dean wasn’t convinced anything was under control and he was still concerned about everything. “But…” Dean starts to say something. “Chris is harmless and misunderstood… I don’t want to talk about this anymore.” Brooke said sternly. Dean stood there in silence.

“Can you please leave me be? I can feel you staring at me” Brooke says with an attitude. Clearly she was still irritated with Dean. He walked out of the bathroom irritated that he didn’t get his point across. Brooke is still convinced Dean isn’t innocent in all of this and that he let Chris in on purpose.

Dean needed to get his mind off of everything and do something mindless, he decided to clean his house.

Much later Dean can hear Brooke draining the tub, he continued to tidy the house up trying to ignore her. Dean started vacuuming and that’s when Brooke came down the stairs and slipped past him into the kitchen, she was wearing Chris’ ginormous shirt. If Brooke was going to ignore Dean then he decided to ignore her as well.

Brooke passed Dean with food in her hands as she retreated back up the stairs. Dean felt it was best to leave her alone and not bother her and make things worse. He did his thing downstairs and she did her thing upstairs. A not so exciting Saturday night that they’re used to.

Dean clearly wasn’t going to get lucky tonight but went to check on Brooke anyway. It was quiet upstairs as he approached his bedroom door. Dean opened the door and peeked in to see Brooke sprawled across the bed sleeping. It was night but not late at all, she must have been exhausted. Dean closes the door and heads back downstairs.

Dean watches TV to avoid his inner thoughts. He doesn’t realize how late it is once he turns the TV off. He heads to upstairs to go to bed.

Dean reached the top of the steps and looked down at his bedroom door where Brooke is sleeping and then at the guest room where he slept last night.
