X-Men TAS universe

The Corrupter had spent years being annoyed by a small band of mutants known as the X-Men.

They were constantly causing trouble (well, some would say they were saving the day, for the Corruptor, their need to keep order was the exact opposite of his goals) and corrupting them would plunge this world into even more chaos.

They'd protected so many humans from mutants (and vice versa), that it would be devastating to human-mutant relations if they imploded.

He'd spent years wanting to get at them, but he kept to the shadows, waiting until he felt the time was right.

After years of training himself and his powers, using them on a small scale and gradually building his abilities up until he felt ready to finally take them on.

It helped that a mysterious person had offered the Corruptor a considerable amount to take this team out from the inside.

He didn't think much about the person (from what he could tell, it was some anti-mutant goof with a lot of money) but he was more than happy to get an excuse to finally get a crack at the X-Men.

He took the job and he soon found himself standing at the front entrance to Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters, a school for mutants which doubled as The headquarters for the X-Men.

He knocked on the front door and eagerly awaited the person that would be his first victim.

It didn't take long before the door was open and he found himself face to face with someone he was sure would be the perfect person to corrupt.
