Troublesome day

You enter the forest, having to be guided by a small imprecise map, and the references you received. As you walk, you feel the oppressive, hot and humid climate.

You follow the clearing to the end of it, when you find a small bump blocking your way. You need to expend energy climbing the rocks and going around. Your hands end up bruised, but nothing serious. Then you continue the path seeing the wind beating on the leaves of the acia trees, and fauna around.

A couple of hours later you reach the lake in the far north, seeing a magically beautiful landscape. Floating stones, crystal clear water, probably a natural magical confluence, storing natural energy.

You drink some of the water from this, feeling your heart beating more heavily with tiredness after walking so much. The water also restores your energy, giving you a moment of rest when you suddenly hear a screaming sound.

''SOMEONE HELP US PLEASE!''

You approach the rockiest spot in the forest, near a hill, and as you leave the dense vegetation you hear some screams in the distance. ''Watch out, they are too many!!!''

You quicken your steps, soon approaching the entrance to a deep rock excavation, the site is littered with mining equipment, and soon you realize you've found what you needed, and something else. A pack of wolves fighting two people, by their robes, you consider that to be the miners.

Without much time to think, you watch as they are on top of a mining cart as they try to defend themselves from the small pack of wolves until they notice your presence when you approach. ''HEY! Help us please!''

It's a matter of a few seconds before some of the wolf pack turns on you. Pulling out your Short sword, you enter an inevitable combat.

Once you're done fighting the pair of wargs, you can see the rest of the pack retreat. The wolves growl at you, but you keep your posture steady and calm, holding your Short sword towards them. As you walk, they retreat until they finally return to the forest.

''...'' You just sigh, and finally you can go back to the miners.

''Ugh... Holy shit, I said this was risky!'' You see the miners approach, they are beastkind. Two felisians. Dressed in proper clothes for casual work, soon the female comes to you.

''... Thank you, fuck... What's your name?'' She still looks nervous after the fight, but you can see her features. White fur, long black hair, blue eyes.

''John Ambers. I think you guys are pretty much the reason I'm here.''

The male then greets you in a friendly gesture. ''Man, thanks, really... Shit, I didn't plan for our escort to abandon us like that!'' He looks nervous, upset too. He is a male Felisian, gray fur, dark hair. His tail still wags quickly after all the trouble with the wolves. They are clearly not warriors.

''You... I have no words. I'll deal with you when we get back!'' The female mentions to her companion. At that moment, you hear the howling of wolves in the distance.

''We need to go back, you don't have an escort, do you? I'll take care of it, just let's go.''

''A-Alright... Come on, and again, thank you...'' She thanks, looking a little awkward in your presence.
