Chapter 5
by GlaDOS
What is the best plan of attack?
Jam his gun.
You hate to ruin such a nice gun, but you're certain that falling down the elevator shaft will be much less pleasant. You flex your free arm and three small blue-bladed knives drop into your unoccupied hand. With a flick of your wrist, the sharp metal blades spin through the air at the gun. The first is a feint, you know better than to attack straight on. As he reels in shock, your second and third knives hit their marks. The second you use to split open the barrel, which imbeds itself three quarters of an inch into the metal. The third you lob easily as a warning. It cuts the air before his face, close enough to cut his mask. Mono-molecular edges: the best $20,000 you've never had to spend.
As the Spy recoils in shock you utilize the opportunity to brace your legs against the wall and leap up to the ledge where he is standing. You vault into the hall and rip the first blade from the ceiling. You feel it cut an arc through the air towards you target, this time ready to disable him. Instead you land in an empty hallway.
You glance around. The Spy is gone. The beautiful revolver, split by your knife, is on the floor. The second and third knives have disappeared entirely into the building's infrastructure. You feed another knife from the holsters in your arms, so as to react quicker to the next attack.
You look around cautiously. Where did the Spy go?
What do you do?
