AN Day 11 - Date night with Ana

Ana has an apartment in the city to be close to camp and her daughter. She works medical jobs, helping out as a nurse or doctor at the camp and for FUTA, and she volunteers with EMS and things, but she's basically retired. You think she just wants to keep busy so she doesn't obsess over her daughter getting involved with a woman who's like fifteen years older. It probably doesn't help that she's been blowing off steam with you. She's a worried mom, and she probably feels like a hypocrite.

But she doesn't look like a mom when she lets you into her place that night. She's wearing a glamorous, blue, satin robe. She has a nice little apartment with a great view of the city, it's very tasteful, and there are even candles on the table. You feel warm, fuzzy, and a little embarrassed. Fortunately, Ana is so down to earth that you're able to relax easily. She congratulates you on your win, and talks about what it was like for her to watch the games as a military person. That opens the door to talking about soccer strategy and military strategy, and even if she hadn't been wearing that sexy robe, that's just open in the front enough to hypnotize you with cleavage, it would've been a really interesting talk.

It's not what you came here for, but you learn a lot from her over that dinner, and you think maybe you can apply some of her ideas as captain. She doesn't care about soccer, but she's trying to take an interest in it because of Fareeha. By helping her see how much a match is like a battle, you think you are helping her find it more interesting.

Over dessert, she moves her chair so that she's beside you, showing you clips on an ipad of Fareeha's game. You help her understand what's going on, your shoulders touching.

"She made a mistake," Ana says, pointing it out.

"No, she's baiting them in. She's good," you say. Fareeha really is. She's incredibly strong and fit, but also pretty smart. You could use her on your team. You'd trade Lili for her in a heartbeat.

Ana puts the ipad down and takes a sip of wine. The rain is pattering on the window.

"It's hurting my confidence," she says.

"What is?"

"That you haven't take this robe off me yet."

You **** on your wine. "Ha! You were waiting for me to make the first move? How was I supposed to know?"

"It's not obvious?"

"You planned it, you set everything up." You shrug. "You're in charge."

She laughs and puts her glass down, resting her chin on her hand and looking at you. "So?"
