VI Day 10 - It's Friday

It's Friday.

Tiff wakes up you and your team. You start with a quick warm up, then you get a light breakfast, then a final team huddle in the locker rooms before you put on your game uniforms.

Tiff recaps yesterday's planning meetings briefly. The main concern with Team Green is the small group of military girls that all know each other. Their soccer technique isn't perfect, but they have excellent synergy and are extremely tough.

There's a sense of relief because the waiting is over. Now you just have to play.

You put your uniforms on and head out onto the field, where there are tons of cameras, and the bleachers are full. These are all FUTA employees and their guests... live viewership is limited while FUTA is still in this early stage.

At least half an hour of group photos, individual photos, and pre-game interviews go by before you're finally walking out there onto the field.

It's another beautiful, sunny day... but hot.

The game starts out full throttle and rough. Green Team is aggressive and focused. There's precision in everything they do... they have their playbook memorized, and they stick to it religiously.

The military girls aren't afraid to get rough, and it's making for a good show. Even the small live audience is pretty loud.

You see Michelle watching. Tiff might be your coach now, but Michelle will always be your real coach. You don't want to lose in front of her.

It's been a crazy week. You helped get Viti and Sheva together... you got bullied by Green Team, and then Tiff... made you feel better. Life has been pretty chaotic. You feel like you made some mistakes, but you also see Sheva give Viti, who blushes, a kiss on the cheek before you head out to play. That makes you feel pretty good.

And then there's Tiff, too. You wonder if maybe she'll be in the mood to celebrate if you can win this game. That would be pretty sweet. So it's a little weird to go into this first real game in this exciting TV league and stuff while thinking about your coach's unbelievably sexy toes, but... that's what you do.

Green Team is as terrible on the field as they were to you during the week. They're mean, and FUTA is amazingly and upsettingly tolerant of their bad behavior. Your team tries to fight back, mainly Elena, but you can't compete with this gang of army girls that way.

Luckily Viti is totally on her game, and she doesn't let a single ball get past her. Not one. Near the end of the game, you and Lara finally break through and Aki scores a goal.

Viti blocked at least two shots that should've been goals. By rights, you should've lost this game 2-1. Instead, you won it 1-0.

You can hardly believe it. All the tension from past few days come out. The girls jump and scream excitedly, and though the audience is not big, they make plenty of noise. Tiff is super happy.

A bottle of water is pushed into your hands, and you go straight to your interview with Moxxi and Lulu. You give all the credit to your team, and compliment Green Team too... that's how it's done.

After that you text your family, then join the other girls to shower off and get going... FUTA wastes no time. They want the girls out of camp for the weekend. The winners are immediately being bussed to the Lodge, and the losers are getting on a bus to go... wherever they are going.

Everyone is worn out. They all talked big about what they were going to do at the Lodge... get in the pool, or try to go shopping and stuff... but all anyone can do is drink water and take it easy.

For dinner, you get food that is way better than the food at camp. It's like a feast... It's really nice, and the positive energy in your team is huge after the win. FUTA can be stressful, but it can also be really fun. There are so many selfies happening, but those are the only cameras... after the photo sessions and interviews after the game, FUTA kept its promise. For the weekend, you have privacy. The three winning teams at the Lodge make it feel full, but not crowded. Everyone is in a good mood.

Maybe... a little too good. Your suspicions are confirmed when Lara invites you to join her and the others. They've snuck some beer into the Lodge and are celebrating. That sounds pretty fun, but... your mind is still on Tiff.

The only problem is that she doesn't seem to have followed the team to the Lodge. Nobody else cares because they want to be done with soccer for the day... they don't want to be around their coach. You do, though.

When you can't find her, you go to talk to Bee, who basically runs the place. Bee confirms that Tiff isn't staying at the Lodge tonight. None of the coaches are. You players are on your own.

Disappointed, you return to the room that you're sharing with Lara, but Lara's not there, she's partying with everyone else in Elena's room. This sucks. You should be happy about the win, but you were just really focused on Tiff.

Someone knocks on the door.
