Seek Help

After Joyce showered, she wrapped tightly in a plush white bathrobe and sat on the couch. She pulled her legs up and Buffy brought her a cup of coffee. "What is the last thing you remember about last night?"

"Um, well, I was right here on the couch, drinking a glass of wine and watching TV," said Joyce.

"When was that?"

"About sundown, 6:30 or so."

"And what's the next thing you remember?"

"You waking me up. I've tried to remember but it's just a blank."

"Do you feel like you've been ****, or are you hungover?"

"No, other than my...well, you know...being sore, my head is fine."

"Stay here. I'm going to look for help. I'll have Dawn stay with you."

"Thank you, dear, but you should know something else."

"What is it?"

Joyce told Buffy about her date with Matt and how she woke up the next morning having forgotten some things about the evening, and how she had not heard from Matt again and his antique store had closed.

Buffy drove to see Giles, without going into much detail about how her mom looked this morning, she said her mom had blacked out twice and woke up after seeming to have lots of sex. She knew it was more than seeming, but did not want to let Giles know.

They drove by the antique store, and it was closed. They looked inside, and the store shelves were empty.

They then drove back to Buffy's house.

As they pulled up, Xander showed up. "How's your mom?" he asked.

"Why, what do you know?" asked a suspicious Buffy.

"Giles, can you excuse us?"

Giles went inside.

"What do you know?"

Xander stood nervously and rubbed the back of his neck. "Um, well, last night your mom came to my house. She said there was something going on to you, and we had to go, so I got into her car. and...."

"And..."

"She came onto me, and she..."

"She what?"

"Gave me a...blowjob," said Xander in a whisper.

"You did what?!"

"Hey, she came onto me, and something came over me and I could not say no. For that moment, your mom was the most attractive and sexiest woman I had ever seen. I could not help myself."

Buffy was livid, but then remember what her mother looked like this morning, and realized Xander may have been acting under the same influence that had taken over her mom. "Then what?"

"She asked me where a lot of young men hung out."

"Oh my god."

Buffy and Xander went inside.

"Oh, hello, Xander," said Joyce.

"Do you remember seeing Xander last night, mom?" asked Buffy.

Joyce shook her head.

After some thinking, they decided that since Joyce had blacked out twice at night, so they decided to meet back at the Summer's house late that afternoon.

At 5:00, Buffy, Giles, Xander, Dawn, and Joyce all had dinner. Joyce was dressed in sweat pants and a baggy t-shirt.

After dinner they gathered in the living room to watch TV.
