Preparing to go out

Lance nods, obviously agreeing with your reasoning.

Rei is grinning ear to ear, already going on as if you staying is already a final decision.

Breakfast is a blur of bubbly conversation from Rei, and both Lance and yourself enjoying your meal, both of you acting slightly subdued.

When Rei takes your dishes, headed for the kitchen to wash them, Lance looks at you, "If you're making a supply run with me, we need to have an understanding." He begins, "If I tell you to do something, you need to do it, period."

He waits until you nod before continuing, "We always stay close to each other, we never leave each others sight. If I'm searching a room, you're watching for trouble, if you're searching a room, I'm keeping an eye out. Understood?"

"Yeah," You say softly.

Nodding, he stands, "Get yourself ready, we'll leave in about half an hour. Walking into the kitchen, he picks up two empty babyfood jars before disappearing in the direction of his bedroom.
