Preparing for the Double Date
“You’ve got to be kidding me!” David yelled.
“It’ll be fine!” Destiny assured, “this is my first time being out and about, so I shouldn’t be hidden.”
“I don’t care,” David reacted, “this is supposed to be a fancy restaurant, and there is no way I’m going to walk down the street, ride the subway, and go into that fancy restaurant not wearing any pants!”
“It’s not like anyone is going to notice,” Sarah chimed in.
“Listen I don’t know what spell you’re casting on everyone to make them see whatever the hell it is that they’re seeing, but I don’t trust it. Not enough to go flashing everyone in the city.” David argued, “besides pragmatically speaking where am I going to keep my wallet and keys and everything?”
“Oh!” Sarah exclaimed, “Destiny can borrow one of my purses and she can carry your stuff for you.”
“There we go!” Destiny cheered.
“Destiny doesn’t have hands! It’s just going to be me naked from the waist down carrying a purse! This is too messed up! I don’t know how I got to this point, but I’m going to do what I should have done a long time ago and put my foot down. I’m not doing this!”
When David wasn’t paying attention, Destiny glanced over at Sarah and nodded. Sarah went into the closet and came back with a purse. She then rummaged through the pants she removed from David upon his return and moved his keys and wallet from the pants to the purse.
“Sarah, stop it. I already said I’m not going to do th-mphf” interrupted yet again by Destiny once again shoving herself into his mouth. His hands, once again, betrayed his wishes by grabbing the purse Sarah offered him and laying it on his arm. His feet then carried him out of the room, then out of the house- down the street to the subway station.
